So now we know the extent of how bad the downforce nerf was.
Some people are probably rejoicing at the fact that the RE is no longer the top car (I am not one of those people), but I think we can all unanimously agree that every other downforce car didnt deserve this. I can live with my Comet Racecar being slower, but R* fucked with my Tyrus, and I'm pissed.
Anyone else think its a shark card conspiracy?

Poor Ruston and GP1, they were already subpar to other cars in their respective classes, but now...

6 (expensive!) cars of mine are affected by this and yes, that pisses me off! I understand it when R is fixing bugs but this is not the case here. They crippled those cars for no reason whatsoever! I don't think it is because of shark cards, because crippling a bunch of expensive cars for the sake of one cheaper car just doesn't make sense, plus the best cars for the most popular kind of races aren't even affected by this. Completely moronic move by Rockstar!

I've always theorized that Broughy's testing (albeit inadvertently)has led to R* knowing just how fast a car needs to be to make people who impulse buy everything they put out get the next fastest car after Broughy tests it. The entire GTA community doesnt watch Broughy obviously, but word does spread about the pace of new cars.
The Vagner wouldve been OP if Downforce had stayed as it was, so I also think R* lowered downforce to make the Vagner balanced as an excuse to reduce downforce effectiveness. They easily couldve made the Vagner in line with downforce still intact, though the Vagner is only number two around Broughy's testing. Not sure about overall performance.

Firstly, Of course its a shark card conspiracy. Everything is about selling shark cards, even the things that will make people leave the game.
Secondly, Rockstar are not rocket scientists sure, but they are not morons. They are not about to make a change to a whole mechanic that affects multiple cars just to make a new car that is not in the game a little less op. I'm pretty sure anyone capable of manipulating mechanics is smart enough to just tweek the stats of that one car.
The change will have been to serve some other purpose and the Vagner will have been balanced with the changes in mind. I just wish I could figure out why they made the change.

I think it's the case of they made the Wagner too good. So instead of revising the Wagner's code, they nerfed the whole value of the downforce parameter because lazy.

That seems too unlikely to me, I think it woukd be more work to undo all of downforce then to nerf a car that wasnt already in the game. Plus they made spoilers work again for downforce cars, they'd have to change downforce and give each car a new spoiler traction value
