Putting this out here to see if any other racers from the Americas are noticing the British bias for time zone scheduling of events. For instance, the championship and cross consules championship are being scheduled at around 8 p.m. gmt. Now the problem with that is our time is 5-8 hours ahead of theirs. So we will have to stay up till 1-4 a.m. until the event starts. I'm trying my best to still make these events but wanted to see if anyone else thinks the person running these events should take the time zones more into consideration to the u.s. dudes. It's probably just been overlooked or is it that not enough Americans are participating? Or are we not able to participate because of this? Please provide feedback.

I think the U.S. is actually behind in time so with the ccec starting at 7 GMT I think it starts for me at 2pm EST

rcracer11m is correct. The Americas are behind the UK in timezone. For example, 1700 GMT is equivalent to 1200 EST. It's been my experience that there's always an effort to try and find a time to accommodate as many racers as possible. If you're ever unsure of a time and how it relates to your local timezone feel free to ask, or try using a conversion tool.

Thanks guys I feel relieved but very dumb at the same time. Somehow I got it in my head we were ahead instead of behind.

It is difficult to be balanced, time wise, with events. The time zone difference is a bitch. I don't get to race with a lot of good friends and crew members because of this. But most hosts across the pond will actually stay up very late to accommodate us.

If I'm going to waste my time, it certainly won't be wasted on endurance racing in GTA
