Insurgent and SK are the usual cars for water crossing. The brawler can do incredible things but needs specific practice. The trophy truck or desert raid can be also very good if you go fast enough. The example of the rock I referred to is with dubsta or mesa, making able to cross something that those cars normally can't. There is something twisted in the mind of offroaders that once you have made it with a SK, you want to try with a Mesa and if you manage it then you want to try it with the granger, etc... I've owned a MW Mesa for two weeks and abused the hell outta it. As for Zancudo swamp water, the Mesa can definitely cross most of its waters. Any deeper than that is a guaranteed hydrolock for my Jeep. Ground clearance is also a factor; but not in the way we usually think. The Zancudo swamps can be deep, but the seabed is so uneven that the SK and Mesa's wheels (which are the widest radials in the game) touch the seabed several times, and thus gaining some form of propulsion from the offroad radials biting into the seabed while you're flooring the gas. Thats the reason why they can survive crossings. The Insugent on the other hand, simply makes crossings by using its raw weight to plow through the water surface. Now that I think about it, waterload for hydrolock may have something to do with the distance between your tyres and the seabed, as it is easier to hydrolock in a small, deep basin of water, compared to a slightly shallower, long stretch of water.

I love trying stuff with the Sultan (old 4-door sports car version), places I've gotten with that is insane. It usually can't do water though.
