Voice Chat/Text Chat - All participants must be present in the Project Homecoming discord voice chat to listen to directives from race control. All participants (except for race control) will remain on mute.
Pre-Race Festivities - Whitelist will become active at about 7:00pm UTC. We will hold a car meetup in the Grapeseed parking lot. Da7k will debut for the very first time to the world super secret project on 7:30pm UTC. Reserve seats open on 7:45pm UTC. Qualifying begins promptly at 8pm UTC.
Qualifying - A 15-minute qualifying session will be used to determine the starting grid. Drivers begin in the pit lane and may take a maximum of 10 flying laps on the track. Please do not interfere with others during the qualifying session.
Main race - 100-lap main event. The starting grid is a double-file rolling start. There are 3 mandatory pit stops. Please call out your pits in chat.
Racing Etiquette - Standard Project Homecoming racing rules apply except participants may not reset outside of the pit lane except when in an unrecoverable position.
Pit Road Rules - Mandatory pits cannot be taken while the pits are closed. The pits open on the second lap (4/102) and close on the final lap (102/102). Pits close automatically upon deployment of a safety car and may be reopened during safety car by race control. If a participant pits under safety car, they must rejoin the field at the end of the line. Pitting more than once during a safety car period is not allowed.
Safety Car - The safety car may be deployed for any serious incident which involves three or more cars or otherwise significantly disrupts the flow of the race. No overtaking during the safety car period is permitted. Only race control can deploy the safety car, and they may only do so by typing “sc” in the chat. The pits close immediately upon safety car deployment. Race control will re-open them during safety car.
Restarts - Race control will give the "1 to go" signal to indicate a restart is coming the next line the field reaches the start/finish line. Participants lined up in front the leader may unlap themselves. The leader controls the pace of the field. Drivers may overtake after reaching the start/finish line.
Blue Flag - Standard blue flag rules apply only when there is less than 10 to go.
Red Flag - Race control may issue the red flag for serious incidents or to help facilitate clean up of the track. Under the red flag all participants are to stop where they are.
Penalties - Penalties may be issued either during or after the race for rules violations. Participants who wish to report on-track incidents should DM video footage on Discord to event host redlaserbm#9842. Footage will be deferred to race control for review.
FPS Limit - Mandatory 60 FPS limit for all racers. Participants in violation of this rule will start from the back in the main race.
Sign-Ups - Sign-ups are limited to 24 drivers, 1 safety car driver, and 1 additional race official. Anyone who can race clean is welcome to join. To join the event:
1. Read through the thread.
2. Join the Project Homecoming discord and follow directions to obtain the "Steam" role.
3. In the #charlie text channel in said discord, type "!event signup broughcar"
4. Ping me with a friendly "hello" or a "How do you do?" in the #broughcar text channel.
Preference will go towards participants who either have the "racer" role in the PH discord or are loyal NODO members.
Liveries - Participants may reserve before the race a livery and number (from 0 to 99) to use. Liveries must be lore-friendly. No two liveries may share similar colors or identical sponsors/numbers. Drivers may be forced to start at the back for livery violations.
Sign-Ups - Please see the PH discord for full sign-ups list.
