IT'S TIME FOR:
Weekly Tabletop Game Night
What are tabletop games?
Tabletop games are games that are usually played on a table, such as board games, card games...
So let's throw the table away and get digital, alright?
This event will be hosted most Saturdays on 6 pm UTC. We will be mostly using the free online game engine called VASSAL to play various board games. Tabletop simulator and other ways to play our favourite tabletop games will also be used, but less frequently.
Want to join? Great! Join this discord server and join us whenever it starts!
You may be asking: But Daleeeeeeeks, how long do these events last? Basically as long as we want to! Some games are short so we might throw a lot of small simple games in one time. Another time, we might be playing one board game for 2 hours, maybe even more. I'll make sure to always let you what kind of games we will be playing and you can plan accordingly!
Or you can just decide to drink and spend a whole night playing board games and see what happens. Sounds really fun doesn't it?
I, Daleks, am not promoting drinking in any way. I am technically not even legally allowed to drink.

The co-hosts responsibility is to host a second session whenever the first session has too many players and has to be split. In some instances, he will also be the main host whenever the main one is missing.
A fool-proof guide on how to use VASSAL:
1. Install VASSAL here.
2. Find the correct module here. Alternatively, google 'VASSAL *game name*'. The first result should be correct.
3. Download the newest file.
4. After you downloaded the file, put it anywhere on your desktop.
5. Launch VASSAL and then launch the module from your desktop. It should be added here.
6. Open it and you should see a familiar menu like this.
7. Since you probably aren't the host, click 'Find a game online'.
8. On the right of the screen, you will see some rooms like this. Join the one that the host has created. Double left click or right click and join game.
9. You should be in the game!
A VERY IMPORTANT STEP NOW: right click on the host and click synchronize. This will make you see the same things as the host.
Such as the board and pieces on it. It is really important.
That is all the info you need to know. I'll make sure to announce which games we will be playing before the event starts.
Do you want to know the rules of the games that we are going to play? You could just google it, or you can look at the guides that I made below to minimize the frustration and maximize the fun (sorted by alphabetical order).
