Just share a story of your highest speed with which car you were using, and why. Back in 2006 I took my Lotus Elise (2002) to a track race and reached 118 MPH. I then added twin turbo, took it again and won the event, peaking 142 MPH  My eardrums hurt too...the helmet did not help. Whispers * hail voltic* |

Ferrari f430 138 mph. Girlfriend's father is loaded and let me take it out on several occasions with his daughter. Was terrified.

60 MPH on the freeway during one of my driving lessons. Speed demon. Was in a Prius.

In high school, 2 of my friends had Buick Regals. So we got 2 cars loaded with us kids and raced side by side to 142 mph. It was literally the stupidest thing I've ever been a part of. I can't imagine what our families would've gone through if something had happened. It's one thing to do it on a track but we did it on a street out in the country with 8' deep ditches on each side known for deer that would unexpectedly jump into traffic. We were lucky.

Although I'm not proud, on the Garden State Parkway I hit 128 MPH in my 2004 Honda Accord on the way to my high school to go to a track meet. Didn't realize a tin can could go that quickly....

When I was 18 (yes, cars were invented back then) I clocked somewhere in the 190's kph (about 120mph). The speedo was one of those digital ones & the last number didn't display properly.  It was in my ex-girlfriend's dad's V8 Ford Fairlane. As I was slowing down, I got busted by the cops doing 148kph in an 80kph zone. Needless to say, I lost my licence.  About 10 years ago I clocked 175kph (110 mph) in a Series II Landrover Discovery on a bumpy country road at dusk. A 6' tall kangaroo jumped out of the bushes & missed me by a few feet. I wouldn't be alive if we'd hit. I hardly speed now. That was a massive wake-up call for me. |

When I was 18 I got a 6 month driving ban, £300 fine, and 3 points for going 125mph on a 70 zone using my Peugeot 306. After I was allowed back on the road I took my dad's 5-series and did 160mph. No incidents occurred from that.
I've since calmed down majorly and never speed on public roads. I was a fucking idiot who deserved a huge slap.

128mph in a NASCAR replica car while doing the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando last month. To be honest it felt slow.
