I have no idea who that is I like some modern dance music, but the stuff that inspires me is mainly experimental music, ambient, industrial and IDM not EDM. I was big into EDM (a term I never knew until about a year ago) when I was younger but not so much these days, although I'll occasionally bust out some 90s trance, jungle, d'n'b, techno etc for some nostalgic kicks. He is a cheesy producer, performer here in the States. Was on the reality show Jersey Shore. Love industrial and ambient mixes! I make dub and trap. Play that and trance at my small shows ( part time) Heard of Jersey Shore, but that's about it. No idea what any of it's about. I don't want to know! I like dub music. I'm a huge Rhythm & Sound / Basic Channel fan and roots reggae fan too, as well as ska, dancehall, bebop, ragga jungle etc. I like some trap, but generally that's the kind of stuff I don't listen to. Same with modern American dubstep (“brostep”). I find it all very mid and high range heavy. The industrial music I like is again the original roots stuff (Throbbing Gristle, Einsturzende Neubauten, SPK, Cabaret Voltaire) and the bands and artists that spawned from the original stuff (Coil, Nurse With Wound, Clock DVA, Swans etc). I'm not big on the groups which label themselves directly as “industrial” because a lot of the time they're just metal or some other genre that has a few harder and more experimental elements to it. After this conversation and another conversation I had with MeowthDatsRight elsewhere about IDM and ambient music I think I'm gonna play around with my sequencer and instruments tonight!

Glad you are inspired! I wish i had all that equipment! The closest i've come was making some noise techno, when i was a teenager, with an 1980s Casio keyboard, a marshall amp, and an multi-effects pedal that had good delay and reverb. Oh and a tape recorder to record the noise! Hahaha And btw, i am a proud New Jersey - born and raised -Italian, so Jersey Shore is close to home in many ways, even though it was a silly series (i loved it)

Not that I think you are dumb thats just how the show portrays them, its like they went and got the dumbest mother fuckers in Jersey and said "right this will be fucking gold!" They werent wrong (sadly) but if a similar show about Germans was set in Kansas City I would definitely have boycotted but to each their own.

Which did not go well with the local Italian- Americans. I may be wrong but 2 or 3 of them were making upwards of 100k an episode... And 3 more very close to that. Fucking unbelievable!! Lol

I've played guitar for twelve years and am now semi-professional. I'm self-taught but in all honesty with guitar I find that most players taught themselves to play, I'm waiting for the day I meet the guy who had lessons I also play bass and dabble with keyboards and studied music production at university. A friend of mine in high school had lessons but what you said still isnt far off. His lessons basically consisted of once a week one hour lessons where he showed him a few techniques and gave him a few pieces that would be good practice and sent him on his way. I remember my friend saying his instructor as much as told him that he couldnt really teach him guitar so much as show him how and it was up to him to practice and build up his muscle memory. Ive never played anything past the recorder or a keyboard but in my limited experience the only way to get better at music is to jam out A LOT and much like riding a bike once you learn it its very difficult to completely unlearn it.

There are some party people that resemble that but they just played their dumb roles to exacerbate the stereotype that people either loved or hated. (Mostly hated or loved to hate). I've been to Seaside Heights so many times, i pretty much grew up on a boat at the shore...so it was cool to see how the media portrays that place. They made it look awesome. It's a sh*thole in reality. The beach is littered with garbage and the quality of people you meet there are nothing to write home about.

Lol They made a lot of money, yes. Some like 150k. Locals got made because it made all the Italian Americans seem retarded. Also, some of the cast members aren't even from Jersey. I think 2 of them are from NY and one is from RI? It's more about the fun people had at a shore house.

I take Bass Guitar lessons which are similar to what you stated with your friend

I can't read music, I've diagnosed myself with tone-deafness and I have about as much rhythm in me as a stuffed animal. However I have: A theremin An analogue synth A couple of digital synths A drum machine A harmonica A couple of kazoos Several DAWs *edit* oh and a Stylophone. I want a Stylophone S2. *edit 2* oh and a Yamaha TENORI-ON sequencer thing This is the kind of stuff I make with this equipment. I like it, I hope you do too. If not, no biggie iAP3XPRED4TORi (And anyone else)

If not, no biggie iAP3XPRED4TORi (And anyone else) That's a nice rolling melody. I can imagine Harmonious vocals the likes of Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Ray, Or Alina Renea added. I sometimes use a local girl to lend her vocals now and again. Plus the 1500 samples on Ableton Suite. Keep at it! Don't stop there! After work I shall download a track I recently completed from the Ableton cloud and post it for you here.

Just messing around... I don't really practice much anymore apart from when I'm inspired to maybe a couple of times a year
