I'm in the middle between Casual and Hardcore. I play video games everyday but I don't own every video game ever. I mostly focus around racing games but I enjoy other games as well.
I like collecting achievements in games that I enjoy. When not collecting achievements I like to play Halo Reach and GTA 5. Don't play Call of Duty anymore.
When it comes to RPG ( Skyrim, fallout etc ) I am dead hardcore, other than these I usually just chill, get the funniest times ı can get from the game for my perspective and that's it actually, also I have realised over the 2 years that I don't spend much time if the game does not have an online aspect I'd like such as GTAO or Diablo 3, I just finish the single player story afterwards, I quit it.
I'm a mix. Video games, in my book, are love as well as life, but I don't own any next gen consoles (except the Wii U) and I don't buy literally everything. Another hardcore feature is that I splashed out on a mid/high-range gaming PC and my face is constantly glued to my monitor.

I'm between Hardcore and Casual because I play games a lot, but sometimes I take things easy, like most of the time I play on GTA or when I play Battlefield. However on other games I am very competitive like in CS, or in an RPG like Skyrim I try to find all the quests and I try to find every little thing, unlock every locked door or container, and so on, but I never really explored many dungeons because I think they are boring until I installed some mods to vary the loot and make the lighting more dramatic.
Mix of Hardcore and Achievement Whore (that's what I call it)! : )
Hardcore because I pretty much spend every day playing games when I'm on breaks from school. When I'm in school, that comes first. Still, I will play them more often than I should.... HOWEVER, I refuse to get on games after 1AM now. This is a somewhat new rule for myself, but I usually get bored at around 10PM. This developed from the days when I played Runescape ( 2007-2011 ) Those were my most active years but I've pretty much officially ended that account in 2013. Anyways, I would play that game for like 16-18 hours a day during the Summer (definitely not during school). This became a habit I guess and has now gone into my console gaming although I don't play for as long since they aren't as addicting as Runescape was to me (I've got almost 9000 hours worth of playtime in just Runescape)...
Achievement whore applies because I try and get as many achievements as I can for some games. Especially ones I like a lot. However I don't buy many DLCs because money is annoying, so those are usually where the achievements I don't have are.
I'm very similar to this. Played runescape a lot, not even a fraction of 9000 hours but still a lot. But I'm not a casual gamer and I also like going for all achievements on games I like.
