As much as I would love to say that Pacquiao will win, I would be lying. I honestly don't see it going any other way then a victory for Mayweather. As a few people have already mentioned, neither of them has that explosive, knockout punch anymore that could swing the fight either way. Instead it will go the distance and the methodical approach of Mayweather will win the fight on points.
All that being said, the ticketing was an absolute joke! Minimum price of £1000 is understandable but for only 1000 to go on sale to the general public is taking the piss! the other 15,500 are going to fighters, promoters and sponsors. Obviously sponsors etc should get x amount of tickets just like any other sport, but when only 1000 boxing fans that have waited a long time to see this fight (arguably the biggest matchup in history) it is a bit of a fucking joke really.
Rant over, all that is left to do now is get through the next week and enjoy the masterpiece that will be Saturday night

£19.95 for it on Sky Box Office over here which is about standard for boxing PPV. Agreed about the media though. I wouldn't even put myself in the category of a "die hard boxing fan" that deserves a ticket more than them but I'm sure they are tens of thousands of people out there that would happily pay the £1000 for a ticket, except they barely even got a chance and now they are being sold online for £100k+

I'm amazed by what I'm reading here. I had no idea box was such a widely followed sport worldwide.

I think Mayweather has more to loose being undefeated but Pacquiao seems like a really nice bloke so it's hard not to hope that he wins, saying that I think Mayweather will edge it (possibly). Still think the fight should have been made a few years ago but either way hope that it's as good as we all hope that it will be !

I mean, box is as big here as say baseball, so not really. You hear about it every now and then in the news, but if it wasn't for this thread, I'd have no idea this fight is happening. This thread has made me look up this fight, and who do you know, Mayweather is the best paid sportsman in the entire world for 2014, tickets are selling for insane prices and apparently this fight is going to be viewed by millions of eager fans. So yeah, quite shocker for me.

Hes beaten everyone else of note in the world. This is the big one.
