Alright everyone, let's try something.
I'm giving you a new competition, based on 1vs1 matches and where every contestant will be ranked via the ELO system used in Chess. If you don't know the way it works, everyone starts at 1000 points and depending on your results and a math formula (that will be operated through this website) you either win or lose points. There is a minimum point amount of 150 in Chess but here in NoDo we won't get below 500.
So how would the real competition work ? First, anyone who wants to register has to post here with their console and PSN/X360 account name. they'll be added to a table list with 1000 points. Once two players of the same console are on the list, it can already start.
One player has to challenge someone else from the list. They can say it publicly, give everyone an open challenge or just ask their opponent privately. The two contestants will then play a set of three races for the Broughy Verified playlists. anyone who wins 2 of those races win the duel, it doesn't matter if the person losing wins one of them or if it's 3-0. Draw matches can happen, if it's 1-1 then someone or both players legitimately crash during the third race and both players are okay with stopping the duel there and having a draw.
So, which races exactly ? One is chosen by one contestant, the other by his opponent, and the third one is one of Broughy's tracks. simply agree which one to choose, it doesn't matter which one. Even those that aren't in the playlists.
I was going for this system at first.

For the results, we'll have to trust you guys. But a screenshot of the results would be helpful. and that according to the difference of points between the opponents, the outcome and the number of duels you've played among other things, you will win/lose a different number of points. An "upset win" against the guy ranked #1 in the list will get you more points that if a person with 2000 points beats someone with 600 points.
As for your objective in this virtually never-ending competition... It's to climb the ladder and be on top of the list. Now let me know if that sounds tempting to you.
