The Event:
This event would take place over 5 weeks with one race taking place per week. These races would last for 1 hour and span over a variety of classes but it is up to the racer to choose which car he/she would like to race in. The fastest 12 drivers from each side will go head to head in this event to make a total of 24 racers. To determine which of the drivers is the fastest from each side, a qualifying playlist will take place. If this event gets enough people to start then the top 5 voted tracks in the poll will be used. I will assign each track a number and use a random number generator to determine when the track will be played (For example if "Race X" was assigned number 4 it would be raced on week 4 in muscle cars).
Date Class Track
Week 1 (Sports)
Week 2 (Compacts)
Week 3 (Coupés)
Week 4 (Muscle)
Week 5 (Supers)
Not many championships include such a team game but this one certainly will. Similar to the Multi-Class Endurance Championship, a spreadsheet will be made showing individual standings and team standings but this time you are playing for your country. Members of the UK team will paint their cars red and members of the Rest of the World will paint their cars blue.
Qualifying:
A qualifying playlist would be set up for the first 30 drivers to sign up for either team which would contain all the races which will be used in the championship. Each race would finish after 15 minutes making the qualifying playlist 1 hour & 15 minutes long. Two identical playlists would be set up for each side for qualifying. The playlist would contain all the tracks in the championship and you will have 15 minutes of the non-contact race to achieve a fastest lap. The fastest laps in the race will be ordered and points assigned to each position and the same will be done for every race. The points from each round will then be combined and the 12 drivers with the highest points scores will be racing in the event. For the people who did not manage to make the top 12 these will be the first reserve drivers. If a person who is racing in the event has to drop out for any reason then the spot will go automatically to the person who qualified in 13th place. It will be up to them to accept or reject the spot and if so it will go to the person who qualified in 14th and so on. People who sign up as a reserve and did not take part in qualifying (second reserves) will come after those who did take part in qualifying (first reserves). If none of the first reserves can make the race, the first of the second reserve drivers to respond will get the spot. So the top 12 after qualifying will take part in the race, those who finished outside the top 12 will be first reserves and people to sign up after qualifying are second reserves.
To determine which position people start the first race in, the lap times for the first race will be used. The fastest laps for this track only will count not the overall qualifying points score. The lap times for both the UK and the Rest of the World team will be combined into one list to determine who starts where in the first race. The grid position will only be determined by these results for the first round. In subsequent rounds (week 2 on-wards) grid position will be determined by the position you finished in the last race.
