The crew has recently introduced some guidelines on the fair play and mature attitude that is expected of all its members. Due to this we have stopped with the "automatic" promotions based on simply joining the forums or having the crew as active. Instead you'll be able to get promoted by following the guidelines and in general being more active in game and on the forums. Conversely you'll get demoted and eventually kicked if you continually go against the guidelines. Because of the above we are also starting from scratch when it comes to promotions and demotions. Everyone will be put back to muscle and then promoted based on the guidelines rather than any previous automatic aspects. These are necessary changes due to the high number of crew members and the need to showcase those who actually share the values of the crew and get involved in the community. These demotions will happen this week and if you simply play regularly and in a fair manner towards crew members it won't be very long before you're promoted again. It's basically just a recalibration of the hierarchy system. The aforementioned guidelines aren't very hard to follow - they're just basic thoughts on fair play. You can read them in full, including ways to get promoted, here: nodo.freeforums.net/thread/256/nonchalant-dominance-community-guidelines

Interesting, I dont know how this much this will change the crew until we have closer to 1000 members on the forums too but its a start and I can respect that. Hopefully the other 900 members or so find their way to this post and see what is expected of them.

Yeah I mean hopefully it will filter though but at least it gives us something official to point to now. We now have something to show people who are perhaps going against what we'd prefer and it also allows us to better highlight those who are doing the right things. The main guidelines post will be linked on the crew pages at all times though so hopefully it will get some views.

Yeah I saw that, I think this is a big step in the right direction. It will just take a little time for everyone to make their way here but hopefully this will make for a bigger and better community

Broughy1322 you should post this in it's own sections on the main Nodo page like we used to have with the announcements section before. I'm glad you found the time to write this up btw:) I had a rough draft of something similar I've been working on for a few days now, but you said everything imo. I also agree with and support everything on there! This will make our community stronger!!!

"-Can now set Friend attack Priority to Standard or Low (Friends cannot be melee executed or locked on to when set to low)" I'd like to suggest this be added to the crew guidelines to avoid "accidental deaths" alleviating any doubt as to whether murders are intentional or not.

I assumed everyone in NoDo has a decent play ethic, as it is a Broughy crew pointed to by his videos, in which he advocates fair play. I just found his youtube channel a couple of days ago and assumed that was the pointer for everyone who joined here?

I assumed everyone in NoDo has a decent play ethic, as it is a Broughy crew pointed to by his videos, in which he advocates fair play. I just found his youtube channel a couple of days ago and assumed that was the pointer for everyone who joined here? Thats mostly true but there are a few people out there that liked to spawn kill crew members in free roam and some not so clean racers ect. While all these things were sort of implied that you shouldnt do there was no community guidelines where you could point and say "hey man thats not ok and it says so right here". Now there is and if someone is constantly doing these sorts of things they have been warned and can be demoted and eventually removed from the crew if they dont see the error of their ways. Before most of the commissioners didnt use their power much because there were no set rules that you could point to as a reason for demotion/kicking members. This enables them to use their power without having to question themselves whether or not Broughy1322 would approve of the demotion/kicking because hes made it very clear what is expected of all crew members. Over time as people make their way to this thread this should make for a better crew experience and tighter knit community. Like Broughy said "The orange ring around a person's icon on the map should be a mark of safety. If you see someone else in the crew you should know immediately that they're a friend. We're all in this together."

Good to have this laid out, it's kind of where I was going with the post on crew behaviour. Orange blips on the radar are nearly always a good thing to see, this should help to guarantee it! =)

I have a question. Are the guidelines thrown out the window during a gta race? I dont play it that often, but it can be fun every once in a while. When I do play it I dont want to worry about crew guidelines holding me back from using tactics that are suited for that mode.
