I have this framed Breaking Bad poster as the center piece of my living room wall. Vince Gilligan is the Quentin Tarantino (or Coen brothers) of television. Incredible series. I think I've watched every episode 3 times.

I love Scrubs too! For me speaking about Comedy shows my favourite are: The Simpsons, Friends and Scrubs. In that order. When asked about more serious shows my favourites are: Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad. Special mention to Lost. Another one that I consider candidate to join my personal Olympus is "Louie", but I'm not judging it until it finishes, as I do with every TV Show. Before you ask, for me The Simpsons finished years ago.

Hard to choose just one but my top shows of all time are, in no particular order, The Wire, The Sopranos and Entourage. There are many, many, many others that I have loved but for me, these three stand head and shoulders above the rest. P.S. Ari gold is the greatest tv character ever created

There are so many. So without naming the obvious ones almost everyone loves, let me name some shows that I feel are either underrated or not well-known enough.
Archer Buffy the Vampire Slayer Community Deadwood Fargo Firefly Freaks and Geeks Friday Night Lights Hell on Wheels It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Justified Key & Peele Louie Luther Parks and Recreation Sons of Anarchy SouthLAnd Veronica Mars
All of these shows are absolutely brilliant in my opinion. It's a shame some of them got axed early on.

Probably The Sopranos, Breaking Bad or Gungrave(anime). Entourage is fucking hilarious though Pundip. I watched the whole series in less than a week. Think Ill rewatch it right now actually. Been menaing to for a while but GoT took priorty. Definitely want to rewatch it before I see the movie. Ari is definitely my favorite as his rage moments remind me a lot of myself. JettaArts, Malice and James Two7 could testify to that if they watch the video you linked

Trowa You watched all eight seasons in less than a week? Damn that's quick! I pretty much woke up and watched 10 hours straight everyday till I was done. Not having a job aided in my success but I binge watch a lot of stuff really quickly, same with books. Once I start a story I cant stop.

I usually go with either The Wire or The Sopranos as the greatest, depending on which I rewatched most recently. Too early to tell with True Detective, but the first 5/6 episodes of season 1 were incredibly well-written.
My avatar might give it away, but Always Sunny is probably my absolute favorite. Pretty much always in a constant cycle of rewatching it.

Hi,
Drama: 1. The Wire (just loved it) 2. Game of thrones (it is just so insanly entertaining)
Comedy: 1. Curb your enthusiasm ( by far) 2. Stromberg ( German version of "The Office" )

Right now, Brooklyn Nine-nine is my favorite TV show...I seriously don't want to wait 'till late September for season 3 to finally be aired. How I Met Your Mother is also one of my favorites and Parks and Recreation is up there, but I only started at season 5 so I was like what the hell when I started watching. Also can't forget about Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.
I really favor comedy over almost any other genre, honestly. I've tried watching Game of Thrones from season 5 and only made it to episode 3 before giving up. I guess I may need to start from the beginning to really like it?? I also tried watching Breaking Bad from the first episode. To say the least, it's not the type of show for me.
As far as animated shows go, Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park are among my favorites. Also throw in Pokemon there because Pokemon's the best.

Argh how could I forget Fargo in my first comment. Fargo is amazing, your jaw will be on the floor around 3/4 of the way in.

It's impossible to overstate the quality of writing on the Simpsons seasons 1-8. Absolute TV perfection, completely revolutionised the way comedy was written on TV and the writing style of pretty much every successful TV comedy, animated or not, can almost always be eventually traced back to the Simpsons. From season 9-11 it was still good but after that it nosedived pretty hard IMO, I don't think I've seen an episode beyond season 18, it's a shame but the first 8 seasons will never be topped, for me. Like the rest of the world, I also loved Breaking Bad and Dexter. I watched House Of Cards season one on Netflix and quite enjoyed it, I really need to get around to season two at some point. In terms of British series' - anything involving Alan Partridge is immense (Knowing Me Knowing You, I'm Alan Partridge etc.) all TV gold, another triumph in genius comedy writing. I also love working class sitcoms like The Royle Family and Still Game (a Scottish comedy which is one of the most beloved television shows of all time in Scotland but practically unheard of elsewhere) and sketch shows like Chewin The Fat and The Fast Show. And then panel shows like QI and Have I Got News For You are big favourites and I used to love Mock The Week back in the Frankie Boyle days but I've never watched it since then. mammoth2112 - I absolutely adore Trailer Park Boys. A Canadian friend of mine introduced me to it back in 2007 when I still smoked weed and I used to love blazing up and enjoying a TPB marathon. The episode with Alex Lifeson guest starring is one of my favourite episodes of any TV series. I really need to get around to watching the newer TPB stuff.
