How to Get Beer Hats and Liberty T-Shirt (Without Crates)

XBOX 360:
EDIT, Twilicane's is better :
1. Swap Character to the one you do not want the hat on (make sure this character is female).
2. Go to the Xbox dashboard -> storage -> and delete the Independence Day DLC.
3. Start up GTA, and go online (it should make you download the DLC)
4. Once downloaded, you'll appear as the secondary character. Switch to the character you want the beer hat on.
5. It should say in the bottom left corner of the loading screen with the clouds what hat or shirt you got.
Repeat again (You have to delete your player 2 and make a female character again each time you do it.)

For PS3:
Starting on the character you don't want the hat for, go back to story mode (Leave GTA Online) and quit the game.
Kick the disc out and go to your Game Data Utility Folder. For GTAV, you'll have 2 items... Delete the one that DOES NOT have "Install" in the title. If you hit triangle for information, the one you're looking for will actually say "Version 1.15". Delete it.
Shut down the PS3. Once powered down (Red light) turn back on.
Sign back into your account and put the disc back in. It'll ask to update, select OK (hit X). It'll take a bit to download and install. Just let it do it's thing.
Once done downloading and installing, the game should start back up. Let it go into story mode.
Once story mode is loaded, go online, picking an invite only session. You'll go online with the character that you don't want the hat for.
Once online, simply pick "Switch Character." Once the switch is made, go to your special hats and you should have a new hat, with a star beside the name.

PS3 Method #2:
1) Switch to the character you DO NOT want the hat on.
2) Once the characer is loaded, pause the game and leave GTA Online back into Single Player.
3) Once Single Player has loaded, hard press the PS3 button on the controller and select "Quit Game".
4) Once you are in the PS3 XMB, turn off the PS3.
5) Turn on the PS3 and load up GTA into Single Player.
6) Once Single Player is loaded, start an Invite Only Session.
7) Once the Invite Only Session is loaded (you will currently be on the character you are NOT getting the hat or shirt for), swap characters.
8) After the swap has happened, you go right ahead and check your inventory and see what hat you were given.
9) When you are ready to do it again, take off any hat you are wearing and start back at step 1.

The reason I made this is because the Special crate drops are so BS and sometimes they glitch out and nothing drops! Also these are a limited time only thing!
