Hey,
my GTAO name is Willy-N and I like car races in GTAO,
but found it really hard so far to find 'normal' races with at least a few people taking part (90% of 'random' GTAO race setups seem to be either, off-road- (sanchez-), GTA-, air- or hug-the-wall-stunt races) and that is not talking about 'crashers', yet.
So I finally gave up on this 'random thingie' and thus am here now.
I am playign on PC and
have got an own small crew (NEVL) going, consisting of a few close friends only. I am also an associated memeber to PPSY, because the crew leader there is a very nice guy and so far the only one I found who keeps setting up nice races with 'randoms'.
Why not race with my crew? Well they are not on very often and also by now I'm regularly outpacing them (simply due to a lot more practice).
Having said that,
I am still rather a casual racer, certainly still lacking a lot in precision and constistency.
You won't find me optimizing my lap times for its own sake, but I DO love a good race and I also don't mind driving with people with very different skill level (for better or worse).
Finally I am also good for pure fun/show races (using outmatched vehicles of a class - hot rod race anyone?) or tuning events for that matter.
It is sad that you can't make all the cars in GTAO at least somewhat competitive by the right tuning. I believe that is a chance Rockstar missed..
