So (finally) the next Gran Turismo game has been announced. Its said not to be GT7 nor GT7 prologue, but rather an individual game, called Gran Turismo Sport.Quoting the official page: "That Gran Turismo SPORT will feature highly evolved graphics and sound quality, not to mention a totally revamped physics engine, should come as no surprise." But possibly the most interesting part: I dont know how this will work out but it seems like it could be huge . The trailer for GT Sport: What do you guys think about this? As a GT fan since GT5 Prologue, Im quite excited about this, even if 2016 is still far away...

The first trailer for GT5 was called "Vision Gran Turismo" at E3 2005, so I'm pretty sure it will just be called GT7 eventually. (It also included a bunch of tracks that weren't in the game...)
That being said, I have loved Gran Turismo for years, but even though I 100% GT6, I haven't gone back to play it much since. They need to step up their game with GT7. The games have always looked great, so there's nothing to worry about there, and they drive pretty damn good too. But 1,000 cars is pretty pointless when 100 of them are Skylines or Miata/MX-5 variations. They need to up the car count to include a more worldly view of cars. Track selection has always been good, but some major tracks are missing, like Road Atlanta, Sebring, Imola, and GT classics.
The biggest two, in my opinion, are sound and damage. Sound is just awful (though some of the updated cars sound really good) and damage is pretty much non-existent. I know we aren't dealing with a derby game here, but crashing is a part of racing and it should be represented. (Besides, if the damage system works well enough, why not include derby or banger racing into the game?)
Basically, am I excited to hear more? Yes. But after GT5 and 6, I'm keeping my expectations in check. They can do it, but I'll need to see it to believe it.

Graphics are great! I've only played GT4 on my PS2, but if there's more info available I might consider buying this game! But I hope there will be an offline Singleplayer
