A hello to all of you. I am a Scumbag from Texas who lives in California, and I play GTA Online. I also enjoy Skyrim, long walks on the beach, eating steak, and playing with my Pug.
I have been following Broughy on the ole YouTubes since the middle of July this year, when I created my PC GTA character. I played a little GTA Online back at release on PS3, but just didn't like the way it was setup back then. And with work keeping me fairly busy most of the time, I just forgot about online gaming. That changed when I finally upgraded my PC this past spring and got the PC (Non-Steam) version of GTA V. I will try to be as active as I can, but the ISP I have is pretty bad. The fastest speed currently in my area is 3Mbps DSL...and I don't really want to bring the awful connection in to ruin NoDo races.
I will still play, maybe join in some crew races...but I will let all in the lobby know that I am on a slow connection, and will totally understand if the race is important and I could cause issues from lag. Either way, anyone can find me on R* Social Club by using the name in my signature.
I look forward to being around.

Welcome aboard! A few things before you hit the roads with us. If you haven't already read them, check out the Crew Guidelines. After that, you could see how your connection fares in Pyro's Daily Playlist, though be forewarned it can be a rough outing. If you think it's not an issue then maybe join in one of our numerous events. If you have any questions or concerns beyond that you'll want to try and find Sugar_Free_Nos or Mid1010 who are the PC commissioners. See you at the starting line! Also, be warned there is a purge on Monday.

Also, be warned there is a purge on Monday. Thanks for the welcome. I did read through all the guidelines, and was aware of the most common things from watching Broughy's Streams or YouTube. I am well prepared for a rough outing, as non of my cars are fully upgraded and I will not match the skill level of most of the Crew regulars. I still consider myself a fairly decent racer, the last race I did online was Hitting the Apex in a Sultan (Turbo only) and I beat (racing clean) a Massacro by almost 28 seconds. I will not be joining an event, or playing much over the next 3 weeks. I am traveling back to Texas to see my family, and I don't feel like taking my desktop with me across the country...haha. Once I get back from Texas, I am going to find an event and give it a go. I already know that my connection will be touch and go, and it has already lagged me out (or just outright refused to load online or crashed completely) of numerous things I tired doing on GTA. Welcome to the forums! Good to meet someone else in Cali. Where you at? I'm in east LA Co. Hope you enjoy your stay Thanks...I live up in Methville, or the High Desert as most Down the Hill know it. Right in the middle of the desert, halfway between Victorville and Barstow.

Welcome to NoDo Lag or not fully upgraded cars are not the biggest problems. Lag happens to everybody, as NoDo is spread out all across the globe. And if you wanna join an event but don't have the (fully upgraded) car, it can be spawned. Enjoy your stay

I was setting up Teamspeak, and there was an active channel. So, I joined it and a few minutes later I was racing. I DNF'd every race (sort of), but I knew that would happen in my first NoDo races...haha. I did have a great time, and I didn't hear of my connection causing any major issues.

I don't recall your connection being an issue. Don't worry about the DNFs though, that will change with practice.

That DNF-timer is still one of my biggest rivals Some guys are just plugged into the matrix it seems hahaha. But I did improve since joining NoDo
