So a few days ago, Broughy1322 was streaming one of the many events that the crew runs and he happened to attract the attention of a fairly large twitch streamer by the name of summit1g. The mods and viewers in B's stream at the time showed off exactly what makes this crew the best ever - encouraging summit to check things out, giving tips and general answers to any questions he had, and even provided him with a ready-made playlist of the B-unit's major tracks. Since that day, summit1g has been getting into serious racing in a big way, inviting multiple other streamers to race with him using that playlist to show off what he saw on B's stream, and spreading around the fun that our smaller community knows and loves to a massive viewership. Here's hoping the spotlight of so many streamers showing off the serious racing will help get B some more exposure and show Rockstar that the racing in their game isn't just a side job but can be the main focus if the group is really into it.

wow. just watched his steam. he races like bambi on ice but at least he is a clean racer. glad we have some high level guys pulling in 15,000 people a stream showing off clean racing. maybe more people will join because of this.

Broughy1322's stream was sunday's, and the other's is summit1g's stream every day after he gets finished with CSGO practice. B-unit actually made up a playlist of some good tracks for him on last night's stream and he played through them all. He's really taken to being a serious racer, talking about respecting the other drivers and working out what cars fit his driving style and which tires to use. Other NoDo members have been talking with him through his donation messages giving him tips and such, and he really seems to be having fun with racing.

Predicting it now: first serious race between the two of them, through a freak accident involving a lamppost, he wins and Broughy comes in second.

Summit1g seems pretty cool. I don't watch his streams or anything, but this isn't the first time he's reached out to smaller sub-communities to learn something new, or shine light to the other side of things.

Just watched the recording of his stream, it was really cool to see! If he keeps his interest it's going to be awesome to see how he can contribute to our community!

With a combined total of around 3000 members in NoDo, and all the other racing crews out there, I wouldn't call it a small community If every person who's a member of a racing crew would give me €5,- I'd be a happy man

Soo serious GTA racing is getting noticed.. And then there's Broughy hosting R* races w/ catchup, traffic and slipstream on stream. GG

I just hope the staff stays selective.
It's always nice to get more people into the clan, but we have to make sure it's the right people, otherwise it's just gonna turn into a pub lobby or IGN.

It's a delicate balance. We need to find a way to keep out players who will just cause havoc, or who don't even try to race properly. That's tricky in an open crew, so maybe we'll end up having to close it and take requests? However, I hope we don't get to a point where we can only allow the properly serious racers in. I will never be anywhere close to a properly good racer in GTA because I just don't have the time to put into the game (especially with my firstborn being due in six weeks). I still enjoy the crew though, and even though I usually end up in the bottom third in any crew event I don't think I have a habit of causing other players problems. So based on that, I hope I don't end up having to leave the crew because there's only room for top dogs, but I guess we'll see
