It's a delicate balance. We need to find a way to keep out players who will just cause havoc, or who don't even try to race properly. That's tricky in an open crew, so maybe we'll end up having to close it and take requests? However, I hope we don't get to a point where we can only allow the properly serious racers in. I will never be anywhere close to a properly good racer in GTA because I just don't have the time to put into the game (especially with my firstborn being due in six weeks). I still enjoy the crew though, and even though I usually end up in the bottom third in any crew event I don't think I have a habit of causing other players problems. So based on that, I hope I don't end up having to leave the crew because there's only room for top dogs, but I guess we'll see There used to be 2 crews (crew 1 was Request and 2 was open I believe) and because that's not the case anymore, I don't think you'll be kicked because you're to slow! Nonchalant Dominance is NOT a hardcore racing crew. First and foremost it's a community of people who share the same interest (racing), but also love to screw around in other gamemodes, and invent our own games and rules ingame. Skill is not of importance at all to be a member of NoDo, otherwise I would've been out of the crew a long time ago hahaha. In any community that's open to join, especially one the size of NoDo, there will always be some rotten apples. That's why we've set the guidelines the way they are, to be able to deal with those people. It's a very hard thing to judge people wether they are 'allowed' to join if we were to make the crew invite only. I'll take myself as example. I race clean (at least I try), but I'm way off pace and mostly only overtake if the guy in front makes a mistake, and often enough when I choke I take someone with me. (just like you DeadKelly ) Plus we'd have to do some sort of audition for new members, which is time consuming. We're busy enough as it is allready. But to stay ontopic, being noticed as a community (not only NoDo, but the entire racing-community) increases the chances of R* actually listening to our suggedtions. Prime example is the MDSB being brought back. Now let's just hope they listen to the suggestions Broughy1322 is planning in regards to the car-classes.

I just hope the staff stays selective. It's always nice to get more people into the clan, but we have to make sure it's the right people, otherwise it's just gonna turn into a pub lobby or IGN. It's a delicate balance. We need to find a way to keep out players who will just cause havoc, or who don't even try to race properly. So based on that, I hope I don't end up having to leave the crew because there's only room for top dogs, but I guess we'll see I really gotta try to arrange to get into a event one of these days. I joined the crew for racing and have never been in a crew lobby or event yet. lol

What is Slack? Like a chat type thing? While it's something I'm sure could help getting to know the group, talking is something I'll be doing very little of for the foreseeable future. Generally to much background noise and stuff so I leave the mic off.

Has anything else happened so far that is getting the Racing Community attention?

Has anything else happened so far that is getting the Racing Community attention? The Summit hype has definitely gone down, don't know if he's still doing anything with GTA racing. I know there have been some appearances of proper tracks on large youtube channels but they are filled with utter AIDS of course. Other than that I don't know of any big news.

Summit dabbles with GTA racing for a week or two and then gets bored, quits playing for a few months and repeat. I don't see the point in making any effort for him tbh.

Well considering he gets thousands of people to watch his GTA racing streams(his current stream is at 9,077 viewers) it gets GTA racing out to a wider audience. Whether thats a net positive or a negative to you is up to your own opinion. If it gets new faces around here, I'm all for it. If it is just here to stroke Summit's ego, than I don't think it's a good thing.

Popular streamers/youtubers getting into GTA Racing is healthy for our crew and GTA / Racing in general. It's pretty fun to race with them, and most people enjoy watching it, and we might get them more involved or not, doesn't matter. It's no skin off your back if you don't like it and doesn't take up your time besides making a whiny post :^)
