♛ZeNzI23Maybe if there were two polls, it would work out better. One is public and for appraise, and the other is private and for criticism. That way we get a more pronounced gap between fair and dirty racers, plus it allows room for people to receive advice on their driving. MrMisterYeah, I left a gap between me and the pack knowing what was going to happen in that first corner, but even then people strung out and managed to make an impassable wall.

In terms of the start, we could stagger it by class at say 5 second intervals.

I believe that a bit more drastic changes will be needed in order to prevent those first corner crashes on big events like endurance races, I have an idea which I got when reading this forum nodo.freeforums.net/thread/557/flying-start-discussion . The day before the race all the participants join a 5 lap non contact race on that track which is a qualifying session. The lap times will be taken a picture and they will determine the starting position of each racer. The start however will be a rolling start, let me explain. The hosts set 1 more lap than the actual race that will be the formation lap. When the race starts nobody moves but all the drivers will have a piece of papper with the starting grid positions next to them so that they know where they must be. The guy in pole position will move 50 meters down the road and then stop, when he stops the guy in second place will move behind him, when he stops the guy in third place will move behind him and it will all be done slowly and methodically until all the cars are behind one an other in the correct order. Now there will be 1 car observing all of this and make sure that everything is right that will also be the pace car. When everyone is correctly in place he taps the horn and gets in front becoming the pace car (could be any sort of signal). He slowly leads the pack but be4 the last corner moves out of the way and from there own the pole position guy determines the pace and no one can overtake be4 the start finish checkpoint and as long as everyone is a bit carefull each car should go around the first corner without crashing. The pace car could be another Nodo that won't participate and leave after the race, could be the host that will do a sacrifise and start the race at last place after everyone has overtook him or could be the guy in last place so it wont actually make a difference to him. As long the pace car and pole position car are on the skype group (which they probably will) then I am sure we can pull this off. I know it sounds complicated in theory but in reality it shouldn't be that hard or take long either. As for penalties about cheating well I don't think anyone would want to cheat but if he does then I am not the one who should decide what it would be. This is how endurance races start in real life and this is how they should start on GTA too.

ChrisDE22 Unless everyone gets a mic next time, that will be nearly impossible to organize.

Jontti500 That's always bothered me. I like chatting during a good race. Be it friendly banter or something completely unrelated, it makes a twenty-something lap race more interesting when no one is anywhere near you.

@alfislegend, I do not have a mic. Even if did I probably would not say much besides shouting obscenities.

@alfislegend I really don't think it's gonna be that hard if everyone understands the rules and follows them. The whole project is a bit complicated but the things every individual person has to do aren't. Lets say you take part in the endurance race, first the day before you will do a 5 laps non contact of the track and after a while you will come here and check the results, you will only need to know your position and the person that is in front of you. Raceday comes and again its nothing that much complicated. Lets say you qualified 5th and I qualified 4th. All you need to do is whatch each individual car go to the formation area and as soon as the 4th car leaves then you leave, get behind behind my car, check that I am in front and you are in the right place and thats it. Then simply follow my car to the start finish CP and remember not to overtake me before it.

ChrisDE22I like the idea, and it sounds easy enough, but I'd have to see it executed to truly consider it possible.

thanks for the votes whoever voted but i really agree that it means absolutely nothing. for this to be fair you would have to have a neutral someone watch the race a few times over. i dont get why im 9th now when i came in 6th. i was clean throughout. and i KNOW theres people above me now who were cheating using the pavement/sidewalk lines. thought it was ace tho dont get me wrong. count me in for the next one!
