Hello there everyone! You may, or may not know me from GTAForums. I've been watching Broughy's videos for a while now, and I've recently been watch him stream the Multi-Class events and interacting with the Twitch chat, and you all looked like a good group of people to hang out with. I figured I'd hop into NoDo2, sign up to these here forums, and see if I could find some people to play with. Another aspect that motivated me to join was that another member of GTAF that I'm fond of, RDT33, seems to be involved here as well. My XBL GT: Sugar Free Nos My RSG Social Club page: socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/sugar_free_nosI'm not as into racing as I wish I was, on account of my fondness for uncommon and impractical vehicles, but I do have a measly 400 races under my belt with a 1:1 win ratio. My love of low end and rare, sometimes modded cars is the bane of my racing success. The only vehicle I have that is best in class is my Schafter (I'll include a list of my cars below). While I may own sub-par cars, that only makes it even more enjoyable when I win races. There's nothing like beating a group of Massacros and Elegys in my beloved Banshee, and to a greater extent, my prized Buffalo S. I'm also into car "modding", such as putting unique smoke or plate text and having the Yankton plate, nothing too serious. I adore the Yankton Plate skin and my Epsilon Vehicles are my most prized possessions on GTA. Also, is this type of vehicle "modding" frowned upon here or is the crew just indifferent to it? If it isn't welcome I'll just refrain from discussing my vehicles after this point. Here's a list of my vehicles:

 Nice list you got there. I wasn't as exclusive as you were, but after getting into NoDo and really getting into racing, all of my sub-par vehicles were slowly sold and replaced. I love the popular cars as well, so the transition wasn't heartbreaking, but definitely not cheap lol. Feel free to add me, I'm always up for meeting new folks and racing new faces. |

I don't know what the consensus is amongst the crew, but I don't want my Xbox Live profile associated with any online modders. I'd rather not get banned by proxy. Probably not likely, but better safe than sorry. That being said, if your mods are merely harmless color mods, I really don't care if you mod. However... I do know of mods that can be done to cars in GTAV that affect performance... like a Double Turbo.

Well for one you've been misinformed, double turbo doesn't even exist. The only performance enhancing "mod" that has ever existed was NOS, but that was patched ages ago. The only people who can change anything about the handling of their cars are real modders with their special consoles. All that's required to throw on a Yankton plate or custom smoke is swapping a few numbers in an IFruit order. As for being "banned by proxy", having any action taken on anyone for a silly plate skin is ludicrous, and having someone banned for being friends with someone that does this stuff is even more silly. You or the crew have nothing to worry about. Cheers though, I look forward to some clean races! |

Oh, and to be clear, I'm not against mods for single player stuff or the like. I'm only against stuff that gives competitive advantages over other players. The harmless shit R* is silly for patching... unless it somehow relates to other, more serious exploits. |

If you're speaking of custom colors through editing your crew's color, no, I believe there is still a method to do that. As for things like util and worn colors that can only be applied with the SP save editor, the save editor may work fine, but there is no method to bring vehicles from SP to MP, or to store high ends off the street.
In the grand scheme of things, there isn't really any glitches or mods (outside of real modded consoles) that give you an advantage, especially in races. Of course you'll see an invincibility glitch here and there, but for the most part everyone is on the same level. Even money glitches don't give you any advantage, or at least no more advantage than buying a shark card.
The only glitches I really don't like are RP glitches. RP is one of the only sacred things left in GTA. With RP, you're either legit and worked for it, or you're a cheater and you didn't. There's no in between. With GTA$, you either earn it, you cheat, or you just buy it and get to skip the work of earning it. I'm 281 legit atm btw.
Overall, I'm pretty laid back on the subject, as long as it doesn't directly hurt me, play your game how you like.
Oh, and if anybody has any questions regarding the less than honest side of GTA, just message me. If I don't know the answer, I'll know who to ask. Of course, I'm not encouraging glitching, I just don't like when people are misinformed.
