Car Manufacturer's Championship Season 1:
Benefactor
Friday 9th September - Friday 14th October Race start: 20:00 UTC.
Friday 9th September - Friday 14th October Race start: 20:00 UTC.
After plenty of thought and a tiny bit of planning, it is finally here. Originally inspired by the Benefactor Championship on PS4 and combining the 'Showdown' style events in the long-term; DV8R and I are proudly presenting the Car Manufacturer's Championship, an event which will take a car manufacturer's finest models across a range of different car classes and putting them and the drivers to the test. Season 1 sees Benefactor chosen to showcase the event, with the eventual hopes of seeing almost every car manufacturer possible given the chance to show-off their cars in a racing environment across 6 different races.
The races chosen for this event have all been chosen with large assistance and input from DV8R , which each track chosen specifically for the cars being used. There are no mod restrictions. The cars being chosen, in race order, are:
- Benefactor Stirling GT, Sports Classics
- Benefactor Panto, Compacts
- Benefactor Schafter V12 (Armoured), Sedans
- Benefactor Glendale, Sedans
- Benefactor XLS (Armoured), SUVs
- Benefactor Feltzer, Sports
Whilst it is not mandatory to own these vehicles to compete in the event, not having the ability to practice in these vehicles will obviously hinder your own performance and may affect those who you are racing with.
The event will be an individual event only, with the point-scoring shown below. The first starting grid will be randomised and make available before the first race. Every starting grid after Race 1 will be determined by the previous race's finishing order, but in reverse. For example, finishing first in Race 1 will mean starting last on the grid for Race 2. Gamesmanship will not be tolerated. Drivers who do not compete in a previous race are placed at the back of the grid after the last race's drivers, therefore if the winner from Race 1 is last on the grid for Race 2 and anyone who missed Race 1 is placed behind them. Point scoring system is below:
1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th: 6 points
8th: 4 points
9th: 2points
10th: 1 point
