[/quote]4. Rules
- Cars. For this rendition of SCE, you are using stock cars in qualifying, and fully upgraded cars in the main races. There is no restriction to the car upgrades. You may pick from any car on the grid (during start of the race) or your own car, as long as they are within the class prescribed as in section 1 (1. Each Raceday)
- FPS. The FPS limit for this event is 90fps.
- Qualifying. Qualifying is around 8 minutes of racing on a pre-selected qualifying track, which will not be revealed until the day. Stock car used in qualifying will be announced once we jump into qualifying lobby, with the restriction that the car has to be stock version of a car allowed in the event.
- Grid. The grid is based on qualifying final finish positions, not laptime. This grid will stay some throughout the whole raceday (the 3 main races.)
- Time and Weather. If in previous race, including the qualifying, the best laptime ends in 0 (x:xx.xx0 laptime) then the following race will be in rain, unless: there is no race on same day to apply it to, or there has been a rain race. In other cases the weather will be clear. If there is no daylight in the race lobby screen, the race will be set to noon. Otherwise it will be current. Qualifyings are always noon and clear.
- Safety Car. Safety car may be called by host or cohost in extreme situations, involving at least 1/3 of the grid. It can only be called when the location of the incident is before the end of the first lap. If cars have crossed into second lap and there is a big incident, there will be no safety car. Under safety car, what you do in this event is to come to immediate stop - let go of throttle, and brake and stay in your spot. If you are off the track, you may reenter while all the other cars are stationary. Then, we will have a restart based on timer while all cars are standing still.
- Pits. There are no mandatory pitstops.
- Tracks. Only the host knows the track and class combination. Tracks have already been paired with each classes, with some randomization so that it is not obvious and tracks cannot be guessed by their suitability alone.
- Track Limits. There are no track limits, other than common sense.
- Blue Flag. SCE's blue flag is that if you are being lapped, you may not take the inside line. As a lapped driver, you must take outside line if in doubt when you and the lapped car are coming to the same corner. Refrain from taking the inside line unless it is 100% appropriate. Also there is to be no active defending. For lapping drivers, the inside line is always yours, but this and lack of defending will be the only advantages to you. If the lapped driver does not leave space for inside overtake, then accident will be blamed on the lapped driver. However, in all other cases, the NoDo blue flag rule applies and if you cause a crash as a lapping driver in any other scenario and it was your fault, then you must wait for the lapped driver (unless you were taking the inside line.)
- Disconnections. If there is one disconnection before end of gridding up, we do not restart the race. If there are two, then we will. For qualifying, if anyone disconnects before race starts then it is an automatic restart. If there is a mass disconnect involving at least 1/3 of the grid, I will ask the drivers for their opinion and if majority agrees we will attempt a restart, but only once per raceday.
- Penalties. Host and co-host have power to give out penalties to their discretion, but no penalties will be given out during raceday. Should there be disagreement between host and the penalized driver, the driver may contact commissioner to see if the penalty was fair. This is within every driver's right.
