The Versus Series
(This will act as a test for a series that I may plan out, where I take two similar paced cars with similar characteristics, and have them go head to head)
These two racing machines have always had the spotlight in GTAV Racing. One shrouded in controversy, the other regarded as the go to top tier sports car, but which one is superior?
MASSACRO vs FELTZER
Dewbauchee Massacro
Based off of the Aston Martin Vanquish, this thoroughbred Grand Tourer has dominated the racing scene in GTA, and is one of the most common sights in sports races. In the garages of many a driver, the Massacro is popular for its driving style and sleek design. But can this be enough to overtake the Feltzer?
Benefactor Feltzer
Taking heavy cues from the SL from Mercedes, the Feltzer has always been in a state of limbo in the racing community due to mixed feelings on its usability. Some feel its the "easy" car and takes little skill to use, and those that use the car should be labeled as tryhards. I feel its because its German. It is still undeniable that the Feltzer is a highly competitive car though, and at the top tier of sports, has broken records with its traction. But its physics have changed recently, will that effect it at all against its British rival?
Two ten minute practice sessions (contact on)
One ten minute Qualifying (contact off)
One 30 minute final
Track:
BC24H remake by Digster_Pop
rsg.ms/47c7cf5
TIME:
2:30 UTC: Prelobby, bring one of two cars
Meet-up tbd
3:00 - 3:20 Practice sessions
3:30: Qualifying
3:40: Race start
Use the practice sessions to switch between cars and decide which you want to be in (though i'm expecting everyone to know what they want already, so the practice is optional). The Qualifying is not mandatory, but will determine starting position. The final race is what will be scored. You will be racing everybody on the track, but you will be scored as a team. This is basically a versus event if you still dont get it. The more of your guys that finish, the better for your team. The car with the most points wins. Please give yourselves extra time and make sure you can make the event with more than enough time before anything else, as I havent hosted an event in this format of practice sessions and qualifyings, and i'm expecting late arrivals and delays as always.
Scoreboard:
First to Tenth place gets one point, all others get zero. Basically whichever car populates more of the top ten spots win. If its even, the tie will be broken by whichever car got the fastest lap, regardless of where they finished, so if somehow you end up way down in last but have decent pace just go for the fastest lap, you could potentially win the round for your team
START:
There will be a ROLLING START under safety car in hopes to reduce first corner AIDs (and rolling starts are cool :Flushed2: ) Whoever is safety car will lead the entire grid around a slow lap, which you will use to get into position. The safety car will enter the pitlane and sticky bombs will signal green at the main straight.
PITS:
There will be a pit window, tbd after testing
BLUE FLAG:
Because this is aimed to be a very competitive event against two teams, there will be NO BLUE FLAG. If youre lapped and a teammate is approaching, youre better off letting them pass, but if its a rival car you have every right to make them fight for the overtake.
