Just wanted to introduce myself on here as I have just joined. I have been on GTA Online since xmas last year. I treated myself to a PS4 & GTA V in a black friday deal for a cracking bargain!
I grew up playing Colin McCrae Rally, TOCA & Gran Turismo so naturally have ended up I spending most of my time online racing. According to Rockstar Social Club I have spent nearly 10 days of my life in these races (approximately 3% of the time since buying the console). A bit worrying that!! I have just topped 2000 races (1122:901 W:L) and have managed a few top 100 lap times in an RE-7B (great car, but it has killed the supers class. I much preferred using a T20 v Osiris v Zentorno).
I've joined as I am sick of public lobbies. Too many races you either have:
- Someone setting stupid lobbies (1 lap, customs off SS & CU on, destroy last place every 15 seconds in first person)
- Trolls driving the wrong way around the track
- People trying to PIT & ram their way past you
- People not knowing how to drive (apparently brakes are optional extras and the best way to steer is to bounce off others?)
I would much rather finish last amongst a clean set of drivers than win amongst a dirty set. I crave a bit of wheel to wheel action as opposed to a destruction derby!
Hoping for some clean racing, but would really like to do some endurance races on custom race tracks (a la broughy1322 in the endurance championships)
