We live in a world where that is a factual statement.
Still not sure if that's a good or bad thing, going to wait and see how he does before I really make judgement, but let's just say I don't have faith

Please let this Forum be a politics-free zone. Thank you. Ignore the thread then. This is the current events forum, what do you expect to be posted here?

The results tonight show that over half of the voting public in the US doesn't like how the world has changed and want to return to the "glory days" of the 50's - when nothing Trump has said in the past year would seem out of place. In other news, 4 more states are on track to legalize recreational marijuana - does anyone else see the disconnect in that?
And in more news that affect the rest of the world, stock markets around the world have tanked in response to the Trump victory - how wonderful.

Remember were you were when America was made great again. America's on the decline; Paul Kennedy called it. sic transit gloria mundi, instead.

Remember were you were when America was made great again. Woke up this morning, had my morning coffee and went for my morning shit. During said shit I saw all the facebook post of President Trump, giggled and dropped a final shitlet. This moment will not be forgotten.

US election: Asian markets tank as Trump wins electionAs you will note in the article, "US stock futures posted steeper and steeper declines as the day wore on. The Dow Jones mini slumped 5 per cent and was halted after hitting their limit threshold — the last time this occurred was during the Brexit referendum. It resumed trading shortly after. The S&P 500 mini was down 4.6 per cent, while the Nasdaq slumped 4.8 per cent, indicating major selling off when Wall Street opens later in the day."

I found it amusing when the Republicans used the same reasoning to 'prove' how awful Obama was going to be, and I find it just as funny now. Truth is, a market's value dropping during or after an election is pretty normal.

Not surprised. As soon as the internet got flooded with this worst election system about a year and a half ago. We knew they were gonna vote the wrong guy. They always do and we always know. They just make it look like the other one would be a bad idea too.

The world is becoming a scary place. Before we know it we'll be existing in a society beset by criminal gangs that think nothing of illegal racing on the streets or mass gang warfare battles. People will be stealing any car they like at the drop of a hat. Pistols, machine guns and even heavy weaponry will be freely available from a nationwide chain of armaments stores and the distant roar of a jet engine or rotor blades will send ordinary people running for cover. Encounters with strangers will see us pulling out a weapon and taking cover just in case said stranger shoots us in cold blood. Sounds terrifying.... yet strangely familiar. We need a new approach, a global leader that can implement some rules to ensure fair play and safety with an international network of commissioners. Broughy1322 for president of the world?
