Fringe's Midweek Playlist
Every Wednesday @ 2100 BST (GMT/UST +1)
We've talked about it for a while... and now we're actually doing it!!
From 9 November 2016 each Wednesday we'll be pitting some of Xbox One's best racers against each other on top community made tracks. All racers are welcome to join in irrespective of crew allegiances. If you've never raced with us before it might be worth checking out our racing guidelines.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION! I've received a few reports of a few incidents in the past few weeks regarding certain players' conduct. Whilst it was always intended that these playlists would be casual and other than racing clean, in light of receiving a few complaints I feel the best action is to implement some rules, so that we don't descend further into chaos.
1. Race clean at all times. This has always been required since we started, but I thought I'd stress it a bit more. The playlists are a casual event, there's no prizes for winning here. Sure there's a bit of pride and maybe an ego to fuel. But this was always planned as a fun event. It is no fun for me dealing with reports of dirty racing. So with that said, if you take somebody out - wait for them, even if "you didn't hit them on your screen".
If you suspect you have taken someone out at the very least pull over in a safe place and wait for them. If nothing else it's courteous and ties in nicely with number 2.
2. Respect everyone on the track at all times. We open these playlists to everyone, I've always been open to have new people in after all despite crew allegiances we're still all part of the racing community. All are welcome, irrespective of skill, all that's required is a willingness to race.
-At the start of a race, take it easy in the first few corners. This is where most incidents take place. -When you are battling with someone, lift a little before going into a tight turn. -Be patient when overtaking someone. Give them space, don't get so close. There's plenty of opportunity to battle.
3. Be in game chat. If you're not able to communicate or at least hear warnings of the host and the people you race with, you are effectively handicapped and a "safety threat" on the track, therefore you can't participate. I appreciate not everyone has a headset, but at the minimum have your game chat set so you can hear everyone.
4. Have fun. I can't stress enough there's no prizes for winning the playlist and nobody likes tryhards. The whole reason we do stock vehicles or races with explosives and stupidly hard jumps is for fun. Don't kill people or gang up on them to make their lives miserable. This reduces their enjoyment and generally results in me receiving complaints, which in term reduces the fun for me (butterfly effect?!). Trust me complaints aren't fun I worked on a complaints team for 5 years!! If you have a track that you would like us to use in a future playlist please see this post.
Start time is 2100 BST - feel free to convert to your local time here.
Be sure to send me a friend request/message and I'll ensure you get an invite... I'll see you on the track!

A quick update for those effected. The UK is now observing "Daylight Savings Time" - so we're now On British Summer Time (UST/GMT+1).
For those of you who're oblivious, what this means is we're approaching summer, a time of year when the British complain about it raining all the time (opposed to being too bleedin' cold), or for that rare moment of dry weather (something above 25°C) where we all switch our diet to Pimms, Ice Cream and poorly prepared BBQ, feel compelled to run to the nearest beach/park and tell everyone that today is hotter than (insert normally warm place name here - normally somewhere in the Mediterranean) and inevitably complain about being too hot, despite it being 20°C and slightly overcast!!
The playlist start time remains unchanged and will start at 2100 for those of us in the UK.
Feel free to convert to your local time using this... www.worldtimebuddy.com/ use code Fringe for a 50% discount and to unwillingly line my pockets with money for doing absolutely nothing

Seems like I've been making a few announcements as of late so one more won't hurt...So I've men tioned before I'm partial to mixing thing s up a bit and ou r Xmas special ( The 12 Rages of Xmas) was a hilarious su ccess, albeit not quite as chaotic as I'd originally planned - than ks R *! Anyways, I've been looking for an excuse to do something diffe rent, and I think I've found the perfe ct excuse. It's April 1st on Saturday. For those of you unfamiliar April 1st (commonly referred to as April Fools Day) is celebrated every year on April 1st by playing practical jo ke s and spreading hoaxes. The jokes and their victims are called Apri l fo ols. People playi ng April F ool jokes expose their prank by sh outing April Fool. Some newspapers, magazines, an d other published media report or below the news section in small letters, fake stories, which are usuall y explained the next day. This Wednesday (29th March) I've decided to play an early prank on the people who're taking part. I don't wis h to give too much away bu t we won't be using commun ity tracks this week - with o ne exception, the last race of the night. Participants can expect " the full Rockstar experience". Although I will point out at this sta ge all of our regular rules are expecte d to be observed. On the night I plan to a dd fur ther chaos b y letting Cirrus5005's magical but often temperamental wheel ( from his Children of the Mount ain vide os) select the classes we'll be racing in and also banning the use of certain OP cars. Hopefully the potential chaos hasn't put anyone off and we'll get a decent turn out - for those of you who already know my plans (I may have leaked them early to a few people who stayed the distance last week) please don't spoil the "surprise".All for now... Cheers You've cracked the code - don't tell anyone!

]just spent the time deciphering that, and then i realize im working late tomorrow and cant make it. a little and a little [Lol... that took surprisingly little time to do and work out what to put. I'm so glad people read between the lines To be fair t here's h ints all over the post. I thou ght it was a little unfair that if you didn't stay to the end last week, you're oblivious to whats happenin g. I t hink i t's f air everyone gets to ld the same information. Who knows I may be b luffing, d ouble blu ffing, triple bluffing... nobody really knows. I went on someone's YouTube video and dropped a massive hint, and th ere's pe ople who think they know what s going on, bu t ac tually th ey've no idea. This might sound a bit incohe rent of a reply, but tru st me everything is here for a reas on. I've not been sniffing glue o r som ething stronger!!!
