Leclerc in the Sauber for FP1 in Malaysia and three others before the end of the season.
I hope when he (should) joins next year he isn't screwed over by a shite car.

There isn't much room in the grid. All top teams have drivers already. Sauber has 2 potential seats. Toro Rosso and Williams have 1. So probably Sauber because it's Ferrari powered.

I like to imagine the dynamic BAR duo of Villeneuve and Zonta 1999 sticking with the team for 15+ years and ending up benefiting from the Mercedes dominance we've seen.
Actually, looking at how Villeneuve carries himself nowadays, I retract that statement.

Sauber in 2013 though put Kobaycrashi on the podium at Suzuka, and Perez got a podium or too in 2012 from memory. That's a massive drop from grace; though, arguably, the car looks better now.

To be honest I think Haas are in a very good position. Engine wise they have dodged the trap of trying to get a Mercedes engine and settling with Renault (now seemingly a poison chalice), and they don't have to become a Ferrari B Team. They can build themselves more slowly with established drivers. For them I think they just need to take on experienced personnel, which should be easier because I think they're based in Europe?
I'd rather have a Sauber Ferrari B team than no Sauber at all, but I'd be hesitant to say they will have an influential line up next year - see Manor 2016 with Wehrlein and Ocon - great drivers but not really impacting on the track (while at Sauber at least).

As I posted a few days ago, Aston-Martin have confirmed title sponsorship with Red Bull for 2018 with the British firm expressing an interest in 2021 post-reg change engine supply.
No mention of Porsche anywhere...

It's a weird combination that will not please their engine supplier until then, but a good long-term strategy on the other hand.

Torro Rosso has dropped Kvyat to the reserves and promoted Gasly. Inb4 Divait breaks something.
But how can you compete with a Pokémon that can paralyse you with a Lick?
