Notes ahead of this Friday
Pre-race meetup
This will be a fun one.
Grab a BMX. Buy one if you must. Meet at Lester's garment factory.
Don't be a dick and bring a motorcycle or a car. BMX. Trust me.
Season 7
So by now some of you will have seen a first draft of rules for Season 7 up in the upcoming events section of the boards.
I wanted to get a season of supers - Progen Team racing a factory built Progen car, etc - before I get 2mo of time away from gaming after the birth of my first child.
As is tradition, after the awards ceremony we will do a quick race around a track (probably Kloden's Spa) in the Season 7 cars as a bit of a preview.
The downgrades will be confirmed in coming days but given the testers are experts they will be fair. We will also take a new step by soliciting feedback on the downgrades. Consider it a new (nu) start, or for those who like Arrested Development, ANUSTART.
Tunnel vision
Yes, the tunnel is narrow. Yes, drivers will need to back out of some moves through there. Yes, if you're risky and foolish you could cause a safety car. This is known.
MISSANDEI: It is known.
Just be smart here, as any tunnel crash is avoidable by the driver. We've gone SC free for a while, let's keep it up. <3

Sorry for the rude leave endersai, but I'm not racing if the safety car pulls off before the whole pack is close again. I checked my recordings, and at no point in the safety car period all drivers were reasonable close together.I'm quoting the Event rules about safetycar from your OP: 9) Any event involving 3 cars or more, or a player disconnecting with their car on track, will result in the deployment of a safety car. During the Safety Car window, the race leader slows down to almost a stop whilst the safety car catches up and picks up the pack. Once the danger has passed and all cars are on the same lap, Endersai will announce that the safety car is in that lap. The safety car will remain in control of the pace of the pack until the pit entrance, where it will leave the racing line and enter the pits. The race leader then has control of the pace of the pack passes the pit exit, in which case the race resumes. In tracks with very short pits, like Parson's Loop, another indicator will be used and communicated before the race. a. Overtaking under safety car periods is not allowed b. taking a pit stop under the safety car period is allowed however cars must remain on reduced speed when entering the pits and merge back into traffic. They may not overtake any cars when exiting the pits, unless the car they are overtaking has crashed in the pit lane. Failure to merge correctly, or gaining positions after exiting the pits, will result in a drive through penalty. c. If a safety car is called on lap 1, the rule about not pitting on lap 1 remains in effect. d. Endersai, OvivoJR and Oh_Darn will call out the safety car; it only comes out on their say-so. At a minimum, there will be 20 seconds between when Endersai announces the safety car is coming in, and when the safety car is actually in. Endersai will also clearly state the time the safety car is in twice, to avoid confusion. e. Overtaking may resume once the safety car is in, i.e. the time announced by Endersai f. If Endersai is not able to attend a racing event, then OvivoJR and/or Oh_Darn will have control of the safety car "once the danger has passed" The danger had not passed.

Ok, just my two cents from my observations of today. Chill the fuck out. People make mistakes, that's why we sometimes crash. Ender made a mistake with the safety car, due to his position on the track I doubt he's aware of how spread out the field actually was before we got to the pits. We were still going at full speed at the back and never caught up. Divait and Gamerer had a mishap in the pits, so 5 of us had to sit still and wait for it. By this point the field was already at full speed. Anyway, shit happens. Listen to each other, no need to be rude. You might not consider each other to be friends, at least be fucking civil about it. All in all, thanks for the championship Ender. Some points to be raised for next year, maybe get a backup to safety car with you from the rear of the pack or something? At least someone else that can spot incidents for themselves. But it was enjoyable on the whole, hope to be around for the next one, assuming the other half ( Kaleeb42) allows it.

The safety car was called for on-track contact. People took pits. I know there's a competitive sense hard at work here but the idea of a consequence free pit is laughable at best. But, even though Cloud was slowed down heavily and lost significant positions, oh look this is rigged as dick. Let's look at the top 6: Ovivo Michiski Iceman Baron Cloud Let's look at my predicted top 6: 1. Iceman 2. Ovivo 3. Baron 4. Serenniel 5. Darn 6. Cloud In fact looking at the entire grid, I'm basically not seeing anyone out of position. So if the SC needed to stay out for pit lane shenanigans, it needs to be called since, despite the expectations placed upon me, I am not omniscient. I picked up the race lead. Cloud. I drove with keyboard, slow AF, to the start finish. I released the lead driver who, because he didn't pit, lost positions from his original P2 behind Mich. There was nothing in this that gifted advantage to anyone; basically the main issue is someone fucked the pits up, everyone who elected to have a cheeky early pit got slowed up, and lost their shit because omg as always Ender is rigging it for his team*. * Despite there being no actual instance in the history of ever where there's been actual benefit to said team. So, I'm really at this point questioning if I want to do a Season 7. The behaviour was frankly disgusting from most of you. Like, nobody cares that Zenvohh turns up to race, but when Darn races an Alpha, I get comments about "the arrogance of Darn" in chat from Serenniel, and QQs from Ovivo and Baron in TS. Really? Really? I'm really sorry some/all/most/many/one or two of you got caught out in the SC incident and didn't elect to tell me it needed to be covered. I truly am. I'm also sorry that Ovivo won the race ahead of all of you. And I'm sorry Mich took P2, to everyone but Ovivo. And I'm sorry that ICEMAN took P3 ahead of everyone (except not sorry you Ovivo, Mich). Oh and since nobody reads it: 15) The primary attributes of a good SAGTC driver are reliability and attitude. Being an unpleasant, rude, angry or negative person who happens to be faster than light is not enough to get you a seat in the event. Being a good person who shows up, is. Continuing this on, you should always show respect for other drivers at all times, even if they aren’t showing you respect. We will deal with issues as they arise.
