Alright guys so here are some restrictions that will be put in play since the track has some special circumstances. Rule 1) Absolutely no mods should be installed. No Menyoo, Authority, or mod not listed or widely known. The problems with the 9F's are too problematic. Rule 2) Regarding ideal racing lines, it will be enforced that you are only allowed ONE kerb boost per straight. This shouldn't be too much of a problem considering most of the kerb boosts available on the track are on corners and not straights. Rule 3) Since the track has a lot of wide areas to cut across the corners to get slightly more speed, you are only allowed to have TWO TIRES on the white track at any time. Exceptions are if you need to take a corner wide to avoid a massive crash or if you over estimate your speed going into a corner. Rule 4) You are not allowed to enter the FIRST CORNER wide due to the pit exit being there. Leave some room for them. Rule 5) Absolutely zero rail grinding. I've had about a full half second sheered off my laps by grinding rails in specific spots. In addition, it can be unpredictable and cause a massive crash. Don't do it. I will have photographs and/or videos of said restrictions later You should link this in the main post somewhere Also im nearly a second off pace it seems, I can barely get a high 42

piguy3141If I see there's no one in the pits - can I hit the green track on the right side of the first turn (lefthander)?

Hot laps on GTA racing are likely accounting for banned hot lap lines (cutting the track, entering pit exit to get a better line off first corner, etc). Some laps can be shed off almost a full second from what I have found, but I'm not @grodo or key

First Warning is just a verbal warning Second warning will be a verbal warning + ten second time penalty to final time Third warning be a twenty second penalty to final time Any further offenses will be immediate disqualifcation

I feel like we're gonna need some transparency and clarity for this so let me give you some numbers on what happens when you take the first lefthander in a bunch of ways. Before any rules were posted I had a practice session with some people and we figured out that going hella wide (barely even lifting), which makes you connect the white surface with all 4 wheels, was the fastest way to do it. We contacted piguy and he said that can't be allowed so we started sticking to the green (maybe 2-wheel on the white if we hit a good line). I'm assuming that's about as far as anyone will go on that first corner, maaaybe 2 wheels on the white surface right when you stop turning. The big part is the pitstop and the green surface right before the finish line, the previous Affordable event had the same kinda bump - a big outside coloured surface right before the finish line. On this track the perfect line for the last 5 seconds would be hitting the left-side curb after the left-hander and then moving to the right side so you can get another bump and start from the very far right side facing left - less braking needed. Given the rules we're seeing here what would need to happen is for everyone to, on the last straight, avoid touching the green surface on the right side where the pits are. That requires, and I'm positive, to at least lift the gas. If you don't, you'll go outside the track on the white surface which has been banned since like day 2. What does that mean for hotlap times? I have spent a lot of time going around the track in Banshee and some in Zentorno with key who could probably drop more specific numbers for GT1. For Banshee though Going to the far right side (into the pits basically) and taking an easier lefthander makes it so you can hit the first checkpoint as early as 00:07.500 (given a great lap that results in a .41 laptime). Not touching the green surface on the right side and just grabbing the curb followed up by a brake-tap and a slower lefthander makes it so it is extremely difficult to hit the first checkpoint at anything below 00:07.900, that's half a second of difference given perfect control of the car. I think it's important we make it REALLY CLEAR what flies and what does not. I've spoken to piguy a bunch of times regarding this boost and stopped using the pitstop green ever since - I don't know if .41 in GT2 is possible anymore. Probably as a one-off golden lap. Edit: I see now that it's 100% forbidden to hit the green, good - I'll leave this wall of text for reference when it comes to laps.

So THAT'S how you got that insane 42 in the Banshee. I was hitting that same checkpoint after like 8.5 or 9 secs, but with pretty conservative first corner lines (I'm in GT3 anyway but bought a 900R for TEPCOTT and thought I'd see what it was like here).
To clarify further, the green track edges are fair game everywhere else apart from the pitlane correct? (edit: obviously not surfing of course!)
I do like this track, but it could really do with some inside barriers to define it a bit better.

Correct, green tracks are a Yes everywhere apart from the pitlane. and my .42 lap had no now-banned things in it, it's still legal.

It should be noted that most if not all of the top times in the Zentorno/Banshee are due to curb surfing and taking the first corner by entering the pit-stop exit. This means lap times will likely be closer and it will be rare to see a 1:42 unless someone pushes it to the absolute max. I apologize for any confusion. If any of you are still confused on what is allowed and what is not please message me for details, will be glad to re-explain BTW, tagging beta1hit , The_Bad_Loser , and -J3rry-Acinonyx- to see if they would like to fill in the last two spots. If not then saura will be a solo driver competing in GT1 (and yeah, the track is kinda getting on my nerves now xD)

With no curb surfing on the downhill it might be possible for the Banshees to match Zentorno times on a regular O.o can't wait for the event.
Edit:
I think 41 is still out there, I hit the wall on one of the corners and still beat my PB
