Car #33 has referred the following situation to the stewards: POV of car #33 Oh_Darn POV of car #08 fab. ICEMAN
Indipendant Race-Stewards:

Steward 1: Driver #08 is seen to be at fault for the incident, he did not wait for an obvious lag hit - 5-place grid penalty or higher Explanation: Car #08 tried to overtake on a closing lane. There was no expectation for car #33 to give more room. The lag hit was obvious on both screens. The excusing factor for only a 5 place grid penatly would be the vague "call-out" of car #33 which was not clearly indicating car #08 to wait.
Steward 2: Racing incident with no car at fault - No penatly required Explanation: Car #08 had enough space on his view to make the move. Car #08 had the overspeed to be able to go for an overtake, so it went for the opening. It was very different from car #33 his view, his car was basically in the exact opposite spot that car #08 saw it, and that is what caused the issue of car #08 crashing into car #33 and causing the speed loss.
On the subject of car #08 not waiting - the intent of car #33 his comment is that he thinks the move was wrong, but isn't clear that he thinks car #08 should give the position back, so car #08 continues on and gives his view of the situation, which is accurate with his footage.
So, the recommendation is - this is a racing incident, and drivers need to be clear about a situation in which they think another driver needs to wait for a crash or contact. Specifically calling out "ICEMAN I think you should wait for that, it wasn't a clean overtake on my screen" would have done the job in this case, and stewards could assess the footage and adjust times/penalties later. But it was ambiguous and unclear in the heat of the moment.
Steward 3: Driver #33 is seen to be at fault for a slow defensive move tha caused the incident - No penalty required Explanation: Car #33 moved to the right too late/slow to defend the line, giving car #08 the chance to pull up alongside. If a driver makes such a slow defensive move it's on them to be ready to expect at least a little bit of contact.
The move of car #08 was legal because there was enough space for someone to go alongside until the lag-contact occured. The lag involved clearly caused additional problems and you could argue that car #08 should give the position back again because of it, but still the movement of car #33 is the cause of this lag-contact and car #33 should be accounting for what could happen by drifting towards the right side of the track.
Final Decision
Racing incident
Explanation: There was 1 vote in favor of car #33, 1 vote in favor of car #08 and on vote for racing incident.
This outcome shows how difficult it is to judge this incident. How were the drivers supposed to make the right calls in split-seconds during the race if it is even unclear whos fault it is after rewatching the footage several times! We can't blame any of the two drivers for what happend in a way that would make a penalty seem fair. The lag involved makes it even more difficult to judge it.
For future races there are some points that can be taken out of this incident to learn from:
1. Drivers need to be clear about a situation in which they think another driver needs to wait for a crash or contact!
2. A slow defensive move always has the potential for contact. You need to make sure you check behind you or on the map to make sure it is not to late to start your movement.
3. This decision is a specific case decision and does not allow you to not wait for lag hits in the future. Lag contact is and always will be a reason to wait for another driver.

Curb Boosts
(this rule does not apply for qualifying)
Following the rule stated on the main thread under regulations, drivers are not allowed to use an available curb more than once per lap.
Drivers being reported to use a curb more than once per lap will first receive a warning. A second call out will result in an additional long pitstop!

Pitstop Strategies
Option 1: 2 Short + 2 Long
Option 2: 3 Long
For safety reasons long pitters have to respawn on the LEFT side!Drivers have to perform atleast 1 pitstop in the first and in the second pitwindow:

2nd - Lap 20 - 37
