F1 is all about intense bumper to bumper battles in Monaco's tight chicanes, and you tell me you're afraid of driving around a 1 minute track? Stop complaining and start hotlapping, noobs :p

F1 is all about intense bumper to bumper battles in Monaco's tight chicanes... Yeah and every single other race in F1 is just for lolz, btw did u ever saw finish line on the track corner in F1 ? And have you ever seen an F1 car curbboosting?.. On a serious note: I know the track is built for Race of Champions and not for hotlapping. I see the point you're making and I'm well aware that it is not the optimum to finish a hotlap on a corner. But is it really that much of an issue? For example: On the Epsilon Qualification Track you can basically take a 3 km run-up to start your lap. That will save you more than 0.1 - 0.2s, but did anyone complain about it? If I could solve that problem I would have done it, but I just can't move the start/finish CP. I already blocked off the starting grid to avoid run-ups. Ovivo didn't pick this track just by random, there's a reason behind this. Driving a good lap on this track demands everything you will need to have in order to be fast through the season in the X80. I know it can be a pain to hotlap this track, but I'm absolutely sure that going flat-out into the last CP won't make a big difference. You still have to lift on either last corner, you can't go fullspeed around two corners into the last CP. The only thing that changes is you don't need to adjust your line for the following corner. That will probably save you a tiny tiny bit. But, even with that being said, one lap takes about 1 minute to complete. After some hotlaps you will find out very quick if you're on a good lap or not. So if you think this lap has the potential to be my fastest one, go for the last CP. In the worst case you'll "loose" 1 minute of your time because you wasted the following lap. 1 minute is definitely not that much. On that lap you still try out different lines or braking points or maybe switch lanes or whatever, relax a bit before you go into your next hotlap. 1 minute should not be that much of an issue. In the end the question is: Is it unfair? No, it really is not. It is not something like you can do this line and I cannot. Everyone can. And you won't be driving this track all season long, it's just one hotlap you need to submit. So all I can say is that I wanna encourage you to go out and hotlap the shit out of this track and show that you deserve a spot in the F1. With or without slamming the walls.

You won't gain too much if you just drive straight into the last checkpoint. Maybe it's 0.1 or 0.2s, but definitely not more. In my runs I did a couple of 1:05.3s without slamming the wall. If you mess up your lap, your lap is messed up, there's nothing like driving straight into finish cp will make you go quicker. Its short track 0.1 or 0.2 can make difference, You would still be behind Ovivo if not that wall play for you maybe it doesn't matter but for someone who is trying to get into that last possition to sign in it does. I am and was aware of the fact that Hookah is a controversial decision for this. I am looking for drivers that can handle this difficult car around a tight track with lots of different aspects to it. You have to handle different traction areas, hairpins, bumps, chicanes, fast turns, tight turns, wide turns, off camber turns, hard breaking, soft breaking. For all these things Hookah is the perfect choice. The thing with hitting the wall on the last checkpoint is part of the concept. In F1 I was very much always very surprised on how creative the drivers were to find sneaky lines and small bumps to gain only 1000s of a second. So if you are planning to join this event you need to get used to the fact that you have to try everything possible to gain only a few tenths. It might not be visible from the first look but Hookah represents a lot of things that you will need over this season!

Races will take 1 hour + the qualification. So the estimated timeframe will be 6pm UTC - 7:30pm UTC

Wow, calm down everyone, the season hasn't even started yet and there's bickering about tiny little things all over the place alraedy. If you want to slam your car into the wall every other lap, fine. If you don't, then don't! I'm for sure not one of the fastest guys in here, but you don't see me complaining about the rules which could decide if I barely make it or not. Just try to have some fun while you're doing it. In the end, that's all that counts right. Now, Calm down and start hotlapping!

Are other people doing that massive run up for Epsilon? I felt guilty doing it but if it's common practice I may start...
