Welcome ladies and gentlemen,
the 2017 Grotti F1 World Championship is about to start into a new season. After the great success of last years event I stepped away from hosting for a while. Instead I focused on racing in the San Andreas GT Championship and several other little events. I wanted to refill my batteries before hosting another demanding F1 season. In fall I passed the final written exams of my medical study. This huge milestone in my life took much effort and was more important than having a successful GTA carreer. But now I am back!
This year we will see some exciting changes to the Grotti F1 Universe. First of, our main car supplier has released a new supercar called by the name of X80-Proto. This car is the single most expensive vehicle in the GTA world. Everybody who owns this car knows how hard it was to gain the money to buy it. The car fullfills everything this event is looking for. It is expensive! It is fast! It is hard to control! And last but not least, it is a Grotti manufactured car!
The 2017 season will consist of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, originally meaning great prizes), held throughout the world of GTA V on purpose-built F1 circuits and public roads. Coming back to some of the viewers favorite tracks of last season, I am also excited to add 2 new tracks into the roster.
So if you are interested in racing at a competitive level than this is the place to be!
1. Teamspeak
Participants of this event need to join our official NoDo-Teamspeak server (nodoteamspeak.servegame.com:9124) during the racedays to be able to hear announcments. A microphone is not required but strongly suggested.
2. FPS-Limit
Participants of this event need to enforce a FPS limitation of 60fps via ingame V-Sync or external frame limiting software!
3. Car

This event follows the common NODO-Racing-Guidelines!
1. Qualification
The qualification will be on raceday. It will be held on the same track that will be raced that day. The session will be non contact and consist of 3 laps. The first lap will be an lap into the pits. All drivers will line up in the pits. The drivers will then leave the pits one by one with a gap big enough to not interfere with each other. The 2nd lap is the flying lap and will determin your starting position. After finishing your flying lap you enter the 3rd lap. This will be your inlap back into the pits to wait for the other drivers. After the session I will quickly work out the starting grid for the following race.
2. Race
Line up behind the safetycar in the order you are called. The safetycar will then lead the field onto a formation lap. Arriving back at the start finish grid cars will be lined up for the racestart. The race will be started with an exploding sticky bomb by the pitwatcher or safetycar driver.
Estimated Eventduration: 6pm UTC - 7:30pm UTC
(Qualification + Race)
3. Pitstops
Drivers will have to perform one of two prior to the race announced pit strategies. The strategies will consist of a different amount of long and short pitstops (e.g. Option 1: 2 Long pitstops, Option 2: 2 Short, 1 Long pitstop). Each driver has to perform one of the two available strategies.
Long pitstop = Taking a pitstop WITH respawning at a specific secondary checkpoint
Short pitstop = Taking a pitstop WITHOUT respawning at a specific secondary checkpoint

5. Car Upgrades
OFFROAD tyres & Neons are NOT ALLOWED in any of the event races!
There are no other upgrade restrictions!
6. Curb-Boosting
1 boost per curb per lap
For clarification: This means that if there is a curb you are only allowed to drive onto that curb one time per lap. If you go onto the curb and drive off the curb again you cannot reenter the curb in the same lap. This prevents drivers from curb-surfing (using a particularly long curb for several boosts). If drivers get reported for curb-surfing they will receive a 5 sec stop-and-go penalty or 10 additional seconds to their overall laptime!
7. Disconnection
Disconnection during a race will be counted as a DNF (caused through engine failure). This will not be counted as a missed race.
8. Whitecard
Every driver will have to play 1 whitecard per season. The whitecard will nullify the result achieved for the according race. The scores can only be dropped from the race that has just been completed. The cards cannot be used for races before the most recent one; nor can drivers vary their choices once they have made them. Points scored for the team by the driver or reserve won´t be affected by the whitecard.
If a driver achieves perfect attendance (8/8) they will acquire the bonus of being able to drop the lowest score of their season. Should a driver not play a whitecard till the end of the season without achieving perfect attendance they will be punished by dropping their highest achieved score.
Whitecards can not be used for races where the drivers serves or has acquired a penalty!
9. Reseve Driver
The points acquired by a reserve driver will only count towards the team championship and NOT the drivers championship!
1. OPTION 1 or OPTION 2
Each driver will have to perfrom either of the two pit strategy options mentioned under "race strategy options" during a race!
FAILING TO COMPLETE EITHER OPTION WILL RESULT IN A TIME PENALTY OR RACE DISQUALIFICATION!
2. Short/Long pitstops
The two strategy options will consist of different amounts of short and/or long pitstops.
(Long = With Respawning at a defined checkpoint, Short = Drive Through (Without Respawing))
3. Pit Timing
Each driver will have to perfrom atleast one pitstop in the 1st half of the race AND 1 pitstop in the 2nd half of the race.
Pitstops open at lap 4! Pitting in the last lap is not allowed on any track!
5. Pitstop Announcment (Voice)
Every driver will have to call out their pitstops on teamspeak by saying:
"Your Name" + Pitstop Nr. + Short OR Long
(e.g. Zan-Cudo Option 1: ovivoJR P1 Short, ovivoJR P2 Short, ovivoJR P3 Long)
(e.g. Zan-Cudo Option 2: ovivoJR P1 Long, ovivoJR P2 Long)
5. Pitstop Announcment (Text)
If you are not using a microphone you need to type your pits like this:
Pitstop Nr. + S OR L
(e.g. 1L (1st pitstop long) OR 1S (1st pistop short) etc.)
6. Safetycar Conditions
Pitstops under safetycar conditions are ALLOWED.
Any event involving atleast 4 cars in a collision OR unexpected situation that disrupts the race may result in the deployment of a safetycar. The SC deployment results in the pack slowing down and forming up behind the SC with the current raceleader being the first car behind the SC.
Overtaking is NOT ALLOWED during safety car period.
Cars that have been lapped by the leaders will get a signal to unlap themselves once the field has settled behind the safety car. Once everybody is in the right order behind the safety car it will be called in and the race is then open from the finish line or a prior defined SC line.
Pitstops under safetycar conditions are ALLOWED.
Drivers taking a pitstop can be overtaken by drivers on the track! The pitting driver is NOT ALLOWED to gain any positions towards drivers infront of him that stayed on the track by taking a pitstop. When rejoining the track the pitting driver has to slowly merge into his new position in the pack.
All incidents will be investigated following:
"The Rules of Racing"
1. Investigation Referral
If there are any incidents that a driver wants to seek clarification on, they are allowed to contact ovivoJR (Host) to start an investigation on the incident. An investigation referral has to be made directly after the race. Elsewise the final result will be permanent.
2. Video-Proof
To proof an incident the applicant has to provide video-footage of the accident that occured.
3. Participation
Every driver is allowed to seek clarification on any incident occured during the races. Is the applicant not directly involved in the incident he seeks clarification on he can still start a referral. The Race-Committee will then inform the affected drivers about this investigation. They will then have to give a statement about their view on the situation. Should all drivers involved agree to not further investigate the situation, the incident will be handled as a "racing incident with no further action".
Is the applicant not satisfied with the decision of the Race-Committee they can send a report to our Commissioners (FriendlyBaron Sugar_Free_Nos lewjen (smithyonetwelve) ) to be reviewed at the crew level, and they will deal with the investigation from there.
4. Independent Race-Committee
The organiser will contact an independent race-committee (crew members not involved or affected by the incident) to judge the situation. The committee will consist of 3 members. They will give their informed consent on the incident and come to a result that will either confirm a certain "penalty" for the driver at fault OR declare the report as a "racing incident" with no further actions.
5. Penalties
Grid Penalty - The driver will receive a defined grid penalty for the next race which will be applied after the qualifying.
Drive Through - Drive through the pits without respawning.
Time Penalty - A defined amount of time will be added to the overall racetime of the driver. His final position will be adjusted accordingly.
Race Disqualification - The final result of a driver will not be counted. He will lose all points achieved during the race. Drivers behind the disqualified driver will move upwards in the final table.
Event Disqualification - A driver will be completely disqualified from the further participation in the event.
6. Notification
A driver will be notified that an investigation has been started regarding an incident involving him.
