Diggin' CornersThis'll be my last one. Got another fantastic idea for a rally. I feel like this is a really cool one! You can see other drivers in this challenging course! Wanted to have the start inside the "pit" but didn't find very good route for it. About 2min lap time with Omnis and 2min 30s cooldown lap with Omnis.

This is happening tomorrow? Yay. The format looks kinda weird for no reason. I'll try and follow it.

At this point I only hope it will happen someday and I will be able to make it... And on the other hand I think the format is one of the best that you can think off in GTA

This is happening tomorrow? Yay. The format looks kinda weird for no reason. I'll try and follow it. Dear BenMillardI remember you sending a PM to @hiberg and myself for being interested in my event and that you wanted to discuss this event with me on Steam. I added you on Steam not knowing what you wanted from me. You explained me that point to point races would be way easier for that kind of event. I agreed with you but told you that I wanted to do it that way. My way. You explained me that racing without contact would be way easier for that kind of event. I agreed with you but told you that I wanted to do it that way. My way. You then insisted on the fact that point to point races are definitely better for that kind of event. I again agreed with you but told you again that I wanted to do it that way and that you were free to host your own event. You then insisted on the fact that racing without contact is definitely better, easier for that kind of event. I again agreed with you but told you again that I wanted to do it that way and that you were free to host your own event. and so on, and so on until I stopped talking to you because you seemed really limited. And now what? You publicly come to my thread and complain about my format being kinda weird for no reason. You know what? Get the fuck out my thread and go host your own fucking event with your fucking point to point races and your own non fucking contact mode. I don't wanna see that Ben fucking Millard username again. Do not answer or PM me. Just fuck off. Best fucking regards, Glen

At this point I only hope it will happen someday and I will be able to make it... I'll make sure you can! I am on 2 rally stages right now. I'll give you a date when all the 10 tracks are made.

You explained me that point to point races would be way easier for that kind of event. I agreed with you but told you that I wanted to do it that way. My way. You explained me that racing without contact would be way easier for that kind of event. I agreed with you but told you that I wanted to do it that way. My way. I'd like to disagree with both of Ben's statements - non-contact racing takes away from your sole focus on driving as there are tons of transparent cars jumping across the screen, making it harder to read the track properly. In Glen's format, all that matters is how well a driver can concentrate in purest racing conditions of all. Having your rhytm destroyed due to someone e.g. missing a corner and flying right through the middle of your screen would be literally the worst thing to happen in a rally imitation. With that being said, point-to-point races are also immediately ruled out - there would be no way of having an accurate timekeeping for all participants. BenMillard, it's not a reasonable thing to do to approach a seasoned event host and try to make him change the format that he figured out. Bear in mind, the change wouldn't be slight and considered an improvement - it would create a totally different event. If you believe your way of doing rally events is better, feel free to contribute by organizing one yourself. Glen's prepared a good solution that compromises limitations given us by GTA and a realistic approach, and that should be respected. ------- I'm not hugely experienced with R* editor, but will try to submit a track for review, and I will definitely be joining this. Also, if there is some work to be done that doesn't involve 100%-stable connection (rip me), I'd gladly help in organizing.

Do not answer or PM me. Just fuck off.Best fucking regards, Glen GLEN, this post wasn't terrible up until the bolded part. I understand you may be frustrated by Ben's critique and seemingly spam/annoyance of you, but it's unacceptable to go after someone like this no matter the case. You could have reported Ben's actions to me if they were crossing a line, or just ignored him and said "no thank you". But instead, take a stern warning not to go off like this again on anyone on this forum, whether you respect them or not. I expect better of crew members, especially a seasoned event host.

I expect better of crew members I 100% accept and understand this warning as I knew it was coming. My apologies to the crew. especially a seasoned event host. I've never considered myself as a seasoned event host. I've hosted 2 racing events in 2 years. The rest was just some funny stuff.
I'll publish my 2 rally tracks on thursday bringing the stages count to 8. I may do a 3rd one. .qlimax , do you have a 10th stage idea?

Today I woke up with an idea of doing a Super Special Stage. Granted, it wouldn't cope under the rules of the event, but at this point I'm just curious if it ever struck you as well, and if so, are there some limitations that are clear only when the work on it is started?
SSS could also bring a novelty to event, be it yours or someone else's.

key good idea, hard to do in the case of this event... I kinda see a solution for a SSS but that would mean even more rules to deal with than we actually have. I don't wanna make that event even more complicated.

SSS could also bring a novelty to event, be it yours or someone else's. Basically there are two types of SSS. The one you're probably talking about, 1vs1 on a circuit race with two routes. And the second, which would be probably more suitable for the rules is a funny short stage, often based in a centre of a city, a stage for fans to have fun and also a stage where you can loose more than you can gain. You can check my start/finish ramp that I made for this event and make a SSS around this place using the construction site and several parking lots that are in that area...

Yeah, I was thinking about 1v1. The second thing sounds interesting tho, I tried doing circuits that incorporate parking lots in the past, but it was hard to balance it properly for having a flow. With the possibility of going all-out on tight passes, this might prove to be a great idea for last stage. If G.L.E.N has nothing against it, I'll try making some layout today and will work on that in the next few days to hopefully bring something showing-worthy.
