[PC] MCEC Season 4 Secondary Championship

Which track is it? I can't find an LSGP made by you Benimi, and the one I have bookmarked is by Evil_Tuinhek, and it's been changed since last time I played it (not that long ago), so I have a feeling that's the one, but then again, it's not by you. And I don't seem to be able to find a link anywhere

sorry, turns out no time for racing this saturday, definitely missing this round.

I'm really sorry to announce this but due to a moving and the fact that I don't have any internets at the new home yet I'm not gonna be able to race on saturday and will almost likely miss next weeks race too. So good luck to everyone for the rest of the season and keep it up

First of all: Thanks Benimi for updating the track and putting all the effort into it to make it available for the race! I know how incredibly time consuming it is to build a proper race track (not that I ever build one but I tried and failed big time ). Therefore, I bow down to those who sacrifice their spare time to help out with building tracks for such events and to those who volunteer to host such events or help in other roles, like pit watchers. I honestly mean this like I said it, even though the rest of my post might sound a bit bitter.

and now the rant starts... because having said this, I have to add that I can't even express how disappointed I am that the old LSGP track was removed from the event . I might be one of very few people to say this but, believe it or not, it was one of my absolute favorite tracks! yes, it had some obvious flaws, like the edge on left side of the tunnel entry which could cause massive chaos if someone clipped it but I liked the flow of the old track so much! I saw many people dropping out of this event or at least for this round but I had decided that I would race even if there would be only 2 or 3 racers in GT4, simply because I like the track.
Maybe I simply missed it but where and when in this thread was announced that the track would be completely changed? I did not have time to play GTA this week or last week (apart from 8 laps that I just did today). I knew this long before, so I practiced 3 weeks ago. Even though I play GTA for fun, I like the competition. And while it is still the most fun for me to battle wheel to wheel for many laps on the track, I can't deny that I am enjoying it more to battle for 3rd than for 23rd place. This is why I practiced on LSGP. And I was proud of the progress that I was making in laptimes, finding better lines around the corners, shaping of a tenth of a second here and there. I was really looking forward to the event, secretly hoping that I could maybe battle with the guys that are normally one level ahead of me this time.
Now I see a completely different track, knowing that I will have almost no time to practice due to real life duties which for me means that I will need a lot of luck to not choke it several times in the new chicane or the terribly bumpy right turn that follows, while I was able to drive very consistenly on the old version.
An additional problem that I have now is that this recreation is giving me micro stuttering on almost 100% of the track now.

What was the reason to use the new version?

Some might consider this to be a somewhat useless post, others might understand. But I just thought, I would leave my 0.02$ here.

I hate to say it, but as it turns out, I can't make it to the race tomorrow either. Really sorry about that. I think asking for a reserve at this point is useless.
