There was a plan from the start of MCEC to have updated versions of all the tracks, not sure if it was explicit if you weren't around the main championship thread early on. It is a shame it happened so late. As for reserves, I'm sure there will be plenty of open spots, if you want to race just show up. No, I did not follow the thread for the main MCEC event. Therefore, it hit me as a big surprise. Actually only got aware of it when I started GTA yesterday to have a practice race on LSGP and noticed that the track was suddenly different. My first thought was that the creator might have changed the track but that there would hopefully be a backup version that can be used for MCEC secondary. I then checked the forums and found out that the new version will be the one we race on. But given the fact that the change happened now on very short notice, I wonder if it would not have been possible to simply stick with the old version and only use the updated one for MCEC main event (if it is mandatory). The tracks in the two MCEC events are not the same anyways. Nor are those on the different platforms. So one more different track would have made no difference and would have probably saved a lot of time on Benimi's side because he would not have to update the track for this deadline for a race which, as it looks right now, will be something like a 10 player race taking both GTs together. However, I understand that the decision to race on the new track was taken. I would just like to understand why it was taken. I meant to clarify in my last post that yes, it was a problem that it wasn't explicitly stated the tracks would be updated - most crew members follow the main championship as well and even then may not have known. Not even I was kept 100% in the loop on that, just the way things worked out and something to learn from. I totally understand the frustration - hopefully your practice in the car itself was valuable, and luckily the differences between the tracks isn't too jarring in terms of setup and how its driven. Also, The whole idea is the same track is used in Primary and Secondary, not different as you said. |

So, a lot of the changes we talked about didn't happen, but the 2 pit stops instead of 1, will that happen today, and will it be an hour race, not 45 min? I hope for 2 pit stops in any case.

No changes including 1 pit.
Also just a note the teamspeak moved now, the old one was redirecting people but finally taken down today

It was great being part of the last race at the weekend. That car was a handful, but fun all the same. If there's need for a reserve or a spare slot for the next event on the 9th December I would like to participate.

I'm afraid I can't make the final either. Gutted because had I been able to race in more races I felt I had a good chance at winning GT5.
