Sultan was not strong enough -> We need tracks where the Sultan is stronger to improve balance -> Longer championship
People don't want to commit too much -> Keep the track number low -> Balance is slightly off
People didn't seem to realize the fact about the 3 Trophy cars (Buffalo/Fusilad/Sultan). It meant to be slightly off the pace, and those cars meant to fight with each other more than with the rest of the cars. It was stated from the start...

Potentially less cars could have been in the championship to improve the balance between those vehicles or other aspects of the cars could have been downgraded. Increasing the length of the championship isn't the only way to improve balance and arguably it would be easier to balance two cars on one track. My general view is its almost impossible to balance multiple cars over multiple championships so its fine that it wasn't perfect.
I appreciate that there was a separate championship however we were still competing in the main championship as well and there is clear difference in total points between the best Sultan driver and the best Fusilade and Buffalo.

Tbh as soon as you remove that qualifying system TDM isn't what it's meant to be anymore imo People just slowly stopped showing up for the qualifying, because they didn't feel the motivation. The participation went 21 -> 20 -> 18 -> 16. I think the contact qualifying proved it can work, and it would be nice to see it from time to time, but as it is right now, I don't think people want to see as the part of a longer championship. You guys can prove me wrong. (No decision if final for season 02, other than the fact it will be a time when the calendar doesn't have 2 killer events in at the same time). I added a poll to the thread.

I'll tell you how the balancing process went. I needed 4 different cars to be the fastest on the 4 different tracks. One of these cars ended up to at the very back of the pack on the other 3 tracks, having the worst position-by-pace average from the cars still in the hat. This car was the Buffalo S! If I'd remove the Buffalo S, with the current tracks, the car which would replace it the Furore GT would have the very best position-by-pace average by a long shot. The Furore GT definitely would have been OP at that point. Well, then remove the Furore GT, the next OP car is the Coquette etc. I needed the Buffalo S to be in, and just kept every car between the Furore GT and the Buffalo S. The point system of the Trophy rewarded consistency over some outstanding performance, while the main championship's were rewarding winning over consistency for the very reason you of the balance of those cars being different then the balance of the top cars. And no, I'm not going to go to the way of balancing the cars for one track, because every other championship is doing that. And those are getting a lot of criticism for the very reason the concept is being flawed.
