The last time I used a wheel was Forza 4 on the 360. With pCars 2 you are able to use a controller quite well imo. Its not as easy as using one on Forza for example, and you probably won't be as fast as you could with a wheel, but it is viable and much easier than using a controller on pCars 1.
If you always use a controller for racing games, then you'll be fine (once you get used to the game's physics).
Mmm for those simulator games (pCars1, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa) i usually use a wheel and loved it. But since I moved out of my parents i havent played any of those games because I don't have space for me wheel here. Maybe I'll get the game if i can get it abit cheaper
Im driving on controller and its fun sure my lap times are worst then guys who use wheels but i think its just pratice mater, like last races we played 2 times i quali last but i still won even once in quali got shit lap time but in race i did faster then others.

We all know I'm not the quickest racer around and I use controller for pcars2. Most of the time I finish in the top 5 in random lobbies (10+ players), I'm sure some of them must have wheels. Like Mistarr said if you practice I'm sure you can be just as fast it is just about developing the muscle memory for the adjustments and things that you do during a race. If you race in chase cam you can tell when the car is sliding and other things like that so the force feedback while helpful isn't necessary. May be talking out of my butt here but it is totally viable to use controller.
Honestly the only thing that's super difficult about driving with controller is when the tires are cold, other than that it can be just as fast as using a wheel
It's probably easier to correct oversteer on controller though, less travel time for fingers instead of hands + force feedback = easier control
Praise his Noodley Goodness
Spaces in my steam between words, entry range is too short hehe xd

for me cold tires are fine + i use soft tires warm up faster

I think it's the opposite. With a wheel you can "feel" the road a lot more, making small adjustments just to check what the car is doing. Performing the same tiny motions with a stick is a lot harder, so catching oversteer can sometimes be difficult. And the game still caps your ability to countersteer, similarly to the first game but a bit better, so you need good reflexes for that to work out on a controller.
I suppose FFB will also pull the steering wheel towards a self-centering position slightly automaticly, essentially serving as a "steering assist", and controllers dont seem to get any equivalent.
Back on-topic Kaleeb42I suppose I'll be around to join the playlist from time to time. Atm I feel like I already hit a skill wall in the game that I will have to get over, so it's a bit hard to enjoy it for me because I have to wait until that "click" moment happens.

Nonsense! There's always room! When you're not sleeping, keep it on your bed. When you're sleeping, hold it in your hands and have sweet, speedy dreams
