So i have seen the offroad wheels vids and notice most racers using offroads. I for the life of me as a car lover cannot bring myself to equip tiny chunky ugly offroad rims on street sports and supercars. I like all my cars to look realistic and this includes the rims. My question is: Am i handicapping myself too much? As a serious racer should i just suck it up and throw offroads on a few cars?

Not sure what you want people to say really. Your question is a bit silly since you already know the answer (there are literally dozens of threads and videos discussing the topic). You can look pretty like a princess or you can be fast, not both.

Well in my opinion i think rockstar should fix it so that no tyre types are different. I dont see racecars irl with chunky tyres if anything they should add race tyres with little to no tread that boost performance on pavement

I could argue and make points but I leave you with "blah blah blah, do whatever the fuck you want, blah blah blah, play the game how you want, blah blah blah, fuck the haters.

What?
I mean the zentorno for example. It has big rims stock the customs esp the offroad and tuners look comically small

You want to push to the absolute limit? you're going to have to suck it up and throw off-roads on. I for one only use them in events because, unless specifed otherwise by the event creator, everyone else will be using them. Other than that I wouldn't dare put them on my rides and will happily loose in a random Pl with crew or whatever because of it. But yes you are most defiantly at a disadvantage without them.

You are NOT in a huge disadvantage. Offroads do give you an edge, but it is not a huge one, and it will definitely not win races for you. They're a must have for hotlapping, but for casual racing? Nah. Do equip them if you're planning to compete in a premade event though.

Go with what you want. Are you at a disadvantage? Maybe. At the end of the day, it's about skill. I know it's cliche, but it's true. And just because your competition has em, it doesn't mean they're good at racing. If you leave the offroads off and you know how your car reacts to changes in pavement, then you're probably better off. Until you got used to the new tires anyway.
All that being said - if you're racing against professional racers or crewmates you'll probably wanna give yourself every advantage you can.

Saying off road tires arent a huge advantage is like saying that you arent at a major disadvantage racing say a comet versus an elegy. They drop your average lap times about 1-2seconds without doing anything on your end. Are they needed to win? No. Is it still a disadvantage to not have them? Unquestionably.

xInfamousRYANx you have to realise that at the start you will find offroad tires absolutely horrible but you can get used to them and after a while they wont bother you that much on your race cars (well at least thats what happened to me, obviously I dont like them but I got used to them). Also on some cars like cars like the Massacro they dont make that much of a difference but on others like the Comet they are extremely important. You can put muscle tires if you want, they are a good balance between speed and looks.

I was using only muscle tires for a while as i thought was a happy medium as didnt like the look of offroads but now ive just reverted back to using what i think looks best on each car

Off road tires don't make you much faster(maybe a couple tenths),what it does is help reduce mistakes.

Put off-roads on. They look like crap, but you'll get over it! Just find a nice paint job for your cars
