Despite the fact that the final nail has been put into this dead games coffin months ago, it is still very much enjoyable. To revive it and the PS4 community a bit more I'd like to host a weekly lobby on GTS. It's supposed to be a laid back and fun environment where you can have a few clean races with a group of friendly people every week, pretty much the opposite to the tryhardy cancerness of sport mode.
There will be a variety of classes and tracks (and a few meme races) but generally they will be somewhere between 10 and 30 minutes each. Overall each weeks lobby will take about 2-3 hours. Track/Car suggestions welcome. Since nodo rules and guidelines apply, the stupid contact penalties will be disabled at all times and track cutting/wall penalties will be adjusted for each race individually.
Since the beginning of 2019 this is being hosted Saturdays at 8pm utc, most weeks having a warmup session starting at 7:30pm utc. It's a friends lobby so to join you'll have to add me on PSN if you haven't already. The race details for each week will be posted below, usually a few days in advance.

It's fine you don't have to commit to constantly being there, it's not a championship or anything, just regular friendly races

The lobby will actually open at 7:30 this week and I'll host half an hour of free driving without any limitations on the new tokyo layout so you can appreciate the new cars (or any other car) a bit.
Race 1 (8pm): Track: Monza (regular) Car: Ferrari F40 and F50 (Sport Tires)
~10 min of Quali, 10min Race (~5 laps)
Race 2: Track: Nürburgring GP Cars: Gr.4 (BOP, regulations like in jts event)
~10min of Quali, 15min Race (~8 laps)
Race 3: Track: Maggiore GP Cars: Gr.3 (BOP, tuning disabled, Race Tires) ~10min of Quali, 20min Race (~10 laps)
Race 4: Track: Streets of Willow Car: Cart 10 laps Race
Race 5: Track: Nürburgring 24h Car: Sambabus (Comfort Hards, no tuning, no tirewear or fuel usage) 1 lap (~16-17min)
As this is the first week, it might not all run perfectly smoothly, as I am not used to hosting on gts yet. I hope you understand.

Quick update concerning this Sunday and the one after: This week Brady has decided to take my event slot so there won't be much point in having 2 competing things at the same time. I'll link the post to his event here if he manages to make one. Since there will likely be snow in GTA, I will likely be giving GTS a break until 2019, where I will move this lobby to Saturday evenings to make it more convenient for working people.

Quick update: The first lobby of 2019 will be on saturday the 5th, 8pm utc first race according to current planning. It will be 6 onemakes of 10 min plus quali and at least 5 of those will be in relatively cheap cars. I will get back to you with more info after new years. |

Weekly Lobby Week 3: Saturday 05.01.2019 8pm utc
I hope y'all made it well into the new year.
Due to family stuff there will be no warm-up this week. There will be six onemakes (tuning disabled) of about 10min with aproximately 10min of quali each. They are meant to be no-stops, so I will disable fuel usage this week and do some testing later to determine a tirewear and tire type for each race that results in a good dropoff over the 10min without making the car undrivable. I will start up the quali for R1 as soon as I get home, I am aiming to start R1 at 8:10pm utc.
Race 1: Track: Mount Panorama (Bathurst)
Car: McLaren MP4-12C

Tires: Racing Medium, X2
Race 2: Track: Brands Hatch Indy
Car: MINI Cooper S '05 (Yes a BMW MINI, get triggered Brexiteers!)

Car: Focus Gr.B Rally Car

Tires: Mud (Duh!), no tirewear.

A little warning for this one, the cars brakes bite very harshly and the suspension is badly affected by the advanced handling flags :kappaross:, so it is easy to make mistakes with this car, it is even possible to roll it in multiple places on the track.
Race 5:
Track: Tsukuba Circuit
Car: Mustang Mach 1 (All assists except ABS are banned)
Laps: 9
Tires: Comfort Hards, X9
Race 6:
Track: Tokyo South inner loop

Due to exam preparation, this weeks lineup might seem a bit halfarsed and the lobby will probs be a bit shorter than normal. I'll probably also have to guess wear and fuel. Sorry. Next week will be onemakes again, I'll try to get the info for that up asap, but you'll most likely need the 350z, 458 or 458 Gr3 (multiclass if we get enough people), DB11, i3, X-BOW R and Abarth 500.

As I wasn't quite fit enough to host last week, this has been postponed from the 02.02. to the 09.02. The warmup session will open around 7:30pm. The races this week will be onemakes again as this is the first lobby of the month and they will be a bit shorter and slightly more meme-y than usual.
Also: unless explicitly stated (because one of you requested it or because it is common sense on the car/track combo) tuning will be disabled in all races from now on.

Cars: multiclass 458 Italia GT3 and 458 Italia (Race H-S, Wear&Fuel x7)
