First off, I would like to apologize for the delay in making this announcement. It is long overdue, and you all deserve better from us on that end.
Many of you know that the mod team had been accepting applications for new moderators over the past few months. We would like to thank everyone who has applied for their dedication to this community. That means a lot and is a part of what makes this place what it is. For now, we wanted to emphasize those that routinely carry themselves in a positive manner throughout their time in the community. They have been a big help throughout, and this community wouldn’t be what it is without them.
With that said, the mod team would like to officially congratulate Dirty4749 , horstdemol , thejp15, and Sunken to the realms of moderation. Many of you know them already, but we’d like to take some time to say a few words about each of them.
Dirty has been a member for a while and races over on the PS4 side of things. I’ve always appreciated the time he puts into pitching in to help with things throughout his time here. You’ll always find him taking the time to reply to posts on the forums, sometimes on posts that I hadn’t even seen before. He’s always around providing a friendly environment for newcomers and we would like to thank him for that.
Horstdemol is also a member of the PS4 community. He is typically a man of few words, however he more than makes up for that with his actions. From taking time to search for and host impromptu races with new members of the community, to routinely helping out and participating in events. He has been instrumental in helping turn this community into what it is today, although he’d never be one to admit it.
JP has also been a helpful presence on PS4, from routinely hosting events like his weekly playlist challenge to his more recent world cup event to participating in NoDo’s fantasy football league, and general involvement on slack overall. He makes for a for a fine choice as moderator.
What to say about sunken. Well he used to be a troll, but now he’s less of a troll, so we made him a mod.
We look forward to working with all of you and appreciate the effort you’ve all invested in this community.
