I don't know if this has been discussed already, but it seems incredibly OP!

I am pretty sure this video has been brought up quite a few times. Generally the census of the discussions in the past have been that it isn't viable in a race 98% of the time so we aren't very bothered with it. I am also fairly certain it can be done on almost any car with a lot of practice not just the Banshee like the guy says.

Not worth doing it in an actually race, but it's neat. Gets old quickly...

Well if you can nail it 100% it could give you a huge advantage coming out of corners etc.

It can be useful in an actual race, if you know the right time for employing this technique. For example, Broughy used it in the first round of MCEC2 to get a really good start. He started in 4th, but was in 1st before the first corner (and kept that position for the entire race).

It makes your car keep hitting the red line for a second or so. When it does that, it's accelerating faster than normal. He really should have added the sound to it.

Why do we have to let go of throttle? The times I've tried to do this for fun I did not let go and it still worked, just tapping handbrake did it

That being said it would have to be an extremely tight hairpin or after a crash to be used.

Better off just mastering the super-boost since that works with any car

It works with any RWD car. Hitting the super boost then the "mid drive" works best in muscle cars. Not particularly viable for racing due to it being not 100% consistent.

Haven't watched the video, but a little trick I finally learned was, while braking for a corner, if I tap the throttle several times while holding the brake, it seems like it forces the car to downshift, giving me more power out of the corners.
I only noticed this while using the anti-oversteer trick, which is to hold brake and gas at the same time when your car is starting to spin out, and turn in the direction you want the car to go.

Also a good trick if behind someone and needing to slow down v. slightly is to tap the handbrake rather than come off the throttle. Keeps you closer.

I remember telling you that but I use the regular brake when I do it. The handbrake puts the engine in neutral so I would think that would be bad. Also doesnt the handbrake camera fuck you up? I hate it so much.
