It was only a matter of time until I did it. vimeo.com/97477191 5:08 in an Elegy. The link is my Elegy Hot Lap for anyone interested in how it can be done. Ew, you're one of those weirdasses who slams the stick to the side over and over. Doesn't your thumb get tired after a while? Nah, never does! Didn't even know that was a thing, lol.

I don't know if it will answer your question, but it's visual proof... I guess xD You're far too kind. I think I see the difference. The lines I take are 99% similar to yours. But you keep the car way faster than me. I mostly brake to a safe speed, then hammer it out of the corner. You keep the car on the edge all the time, so you maintain the maximum speed possible for the given corner. The problem for me is that this is pure skill. No easy way to get to your laptime and level for me I'm afraid! But now I know what to strive for, where to shift my focus to. This really helped man, thanks. Glad I could help ya!

Still a long way of the top 5 and cracking the leaderboard. Not too bad for a first attempt ever at hotlapping and not racing. Only 4.684 seconds to go!

Aww yisss! Man, 5 laps, opening lap at 5:15, then 5:10 and then something like 5:13, 5:14, 5:13. Pretty excited about that, considering my previous fastest lap was 5:14,1 and I couldn't beat that for quite a while. I was in the zone baby! #thankstwilicane

Managed to squeeze out a little more speed. I also think I beat your Dockyard time RDT, though I'll have to go back and check to make sure.

I think 5.05 is the limit of what the Elegy can achieve. Can someone prove me wrong? :-)

I liked it better when 5:08 was the best laptime. I'm on 5:08:529 now.
