I hope that one day we will all abandon the abomination called Skype and move to GroupMe chats. Flawlessly work on mobile device and browser, it's insane. I have already created a chat for NoDo PS4, but it has to be a mass move to make it work.. I wonder what everyone thinks of this.  |

Skype is pretty rubbish on mobile come to think of it Pretty rubbish? It's plain awful! I almost threw my new phone away when I attempted to install and chat.. After 2 hours of loading messages from MONTHS ago I was so done. So done... On a desktop the loading issue is less convenient but still, I wonder what retard thought that loading Every. Single. Message. Ever. Sent. Automatically. was a good idea. Really, I have never seen a single application that had functionality this bad. |

I have download a groupme and set it up, how do I join the chat? There's been a lot of fuss about Skype and it's infinite loading of messages from the past, especially on mobile devices. So far, many people aren't convinced that GroupMe is the right solution (can't highlight specific words, for instance). Adding people to GroupMe requires their phone number, email, or their nickname if you've met them before on GroupMe. I have a good solution for managing the group without opening it up completely, or forcing people to expose their phone/email to the host of the group. Maybe I'm moving too fast on my own here, but I love chatting through a mobile device and it's near impossible to do that with Skype for mobile. So I truly hope a better textual medium can replace Skype, the sooner the better... I'm not sure what Pundip meant with "all will become clear in due time". Are you working on a better solution in the background? |
