This was a very tense race. Had battles nearly the whole race. After the safty car phase I also had some incidents what was a bit frustrating when it happened, but that's racing. ovivoJR I have a bit of a problem with my footage. It comes out very big (25 GB) and the rendering program takes very long with it. After the whole night there is not even the half done with rendering. I also try to upload the raw footage to youtube but that also takes quite long. I hope I'll get it done until tomorrow. That is fine for me. What are you rendering with? Also what are you recording with b/c that filesize seems to be larger then it needs to be. My point of view of the race is up on YouTube. Timing of the video is in the video description. Is it a sign that when my recording starts ovivoJR is talking about satefy car procedure? YouTube file is 9 Go so I also uploaded a low quality, 1 Go version in the Grotti F1 Google Drive for you ovivoJR. - I was feeling a bit cramped side by side with Rioes and in front of you ovivo, it's a shame that I hit that hydrant and crashed you because you would have passed us both in that lap I'm pretty sure! - I don't know if it's just me but on previous races the pit windows were clearly called on TS during the race, it wasn't so clear this time and I was quite lost at some point. Thx for the footage. That fiyah-haydrant was just the iceing on the cake =D Don´t worry about it. With the pitwindows everybody is selfresponsible to get them right but I think it has something to with me being in battles at the moment the pits opened so I could not call it out to .fiyah that we reached the right lap. I think the current leaders of the race need to give the pitwatcher a little more feedback on this.

ovivoJR I'm using shadowplay to record. For the rendering I used handbrake what ganjalo recommended. Handbrake seems to be a good program but I had no idea with the settings. But I think I have found a good setting now. The upload of the raw footage should be done soon but idk how the quality will be after youtube rendered it. meetmypyro thank you I will give it a try too. Edit: I get a warning on chip.de about adware within the converter. I am unsure now.

yea they say that in the description as well, that you cant avoid the adware. i usually dont care about stuff like that, i just trust chip.de i'm still using it and i dont have any issues. but sorry if its unsafe.

My Shadowplay recording was around 25 Go, with Handbrake I encoded a first file with constant quality 23 (9 Go output, HD for YouTube) and another with constant quality 30 and width 1280 (1 Go output, low quality version for ovivo to download). Then you can just play with the optimize video - x264 preset to influence encoding time. I think I used Ultra Fast for the first file and Very Fast for the second, or something like that, and it only took half an hour each time. It's a bit tricky to find the right settings at first but once you find out what does what it works pretty well. I usually use the preview to check quality and then I start encoding with different preset and check estimated time until I find something I'm comfortable with.

Yeah, it seems a bit tricky. I watched a tutorial video with some tips & tricks and now I'm using the advanced tab instead of the preset slider. The constant quality slider I set to 20. The result seems pretty good. I had only some problems with the audio. Shadowplay always produced a audio which has 195kBit/s and handbrake wants me to convert it to 160kBit/s. 195 is not an option so I used 224 and that seems to be good. After the MCEC I will try it out again.

ovivoJR Ganjalo fab. ICEMAN Regarding the lap counting. I'm trying to keep track of it and i usually succeed, but once the pit stop is open i can no longer track 2 things at once. So I'm gonna have to ask once maybe twice a race which lap are you on incase I get lost in the count or am not sure.

Grotti F1 Round 6: Montréal Highlights
This was a special race with battles all over the track. Really nice to see how the competition improved over the season. Enjoy!

I knew you would complain about it I don't know why this file didn't get as compressed as others. My broughy car meet video has the same size at the same qualitiy level but it's like 1.5 hours longer and was 45Gb where this video had like 20GB. Next time I make it smaller with lower stetting like 720p 30fps. I didn't wanted to render it again because I had so many footage to render the past days.

Been doing some laps on Flyin High and i noticed that it might need some improvements. There are confusing checkpoints and strange prop placements that just makes racing on it a bit too difficult to focus on. I could point out where exactly, but i'm sure y'all will notice if you play it.

No problem with the props on the Flyin High track for me. Except one hitbox for a wall, everything is fine.
