Grotti F1 News:
The results from the second race of the season have been updated on the main post. Also the championship standings on the spreadsheet. Take a look at it.
Mirrors Edge Race Report:
This time the Grotti F1 Mirrors Edge track was host of our race. The Bolingbroke F1 Team with Ganjalo as the main promoter of this race managed to create a great atmosphere for racing. Our safety car driver meetmypyro guided us on our formation lap. Just before the start of the race fab. ICEMAN had a little problem with his engine. Due to this the start was delayed by 5 minutes. After his mechanics had figured out the problem the race was started by meetmypyro.
The cars were flying into the first corner of the Mirrors Edge Grand Prix. Due to our experienced drivers there were no major incidents in the first lap. We were able to finish the race withour any need for a safety car.
ovivoJR managed to create a gap to fab. ICEMAN and cloudmcshort. They had a nice battle over the fist laps. After having a tough start into the race arken showed why he won the Rattlesnake Grand Prix. He was driving consistenly quick and managed to finish in 2nd position. Right behind him was fab. ICEMAN. He managed to get some points onto his score board after having an engine failure in the first race. He also drove the fastest lap of the race (02:15.296). We will see if Team Tequi-la-la can give him some better equipment for the rest of the season. ALso The_Bad_Loser and Madderose suffered from engine failure. Let´s hope they can fix this problem for the next race.
ovivoJR finished the race with a gap of 3 sec in front of arken. With 43 points on the scoreboard they are in a comfortable lead to the third place driver Oh_Darn (22 points). Places 4 to 8 are very close together only seperated by 2 points. An intresting season is ahead of us. In the constructors championship Xero Motorsports F1 team leads (59) by a 2 points gap to LS Customs F1 Team (57 points).
