(PC) Multi-Class Endurance Championship - Season Two

That sucks ram, sorry it turned out that way.

Anyway, GG to all. Thankful for darn's checkpoint miss, wouldn't have caught up otherwise.

That was a really strange race for me, in a good and a bad way.

I was thinking about ranting on and on about it but I'll try and keep it short.

Start off by gaining 2 positions pretty much right away and going up into 2nd. In front is The_Bad_Loser and I'm trying to keep up with him. On the turn right before the highway, I'm right behind him but he lags back and gets spun around. I try and push him back around but when I've done so, his car just doesn't accelerate and almost comes to a complete stop. In that moment I just go past because I was so confused on what to do, and I made a decision. Now, when I think back at it, I should've waited, and I'm really sorry to Bad Loser for ruining his race.

The race goes on and I'm trying to catch doompenguin who's gotten some ground to the rest of the pack. I manage to close the gap slowly but, when I get close enough to try an overtake, he starts lagging around and I have to back off so I don't hit him when I couldn't see where he was. This is going on at the same time that we're coming up to lap GT3 cars for the first time. When he's lagged his way past the Patriots, I've lost about 4 seconds on him and I am once again playing the catch up game.
That goes on for a while and when I'm just 2 seconds behind, we come up to lap the top GT2 cars. I come up on Akcros who's right in front of Xepy★̅ and I'm trying to go on the outside of him. He swerves to the outside right before the corner forcing me to brake. I then try and go on the inside instead and he takes me out.
Like that, 15 seconds lost and no way of catching up to 1st again.
(NOTE: I aint poking fingers at akcros for this, he might have gotten a bit stressed out or something and he apologized afterwards. So it's all good.)

So yea, race went on and I managed to keep my 2nd position throughout the rest of the race.
Other than the incidents, this was the beat race for me so far. Hope next one will be just as fun.

I think my teammates who were in TS with me are happy that my mic was off, cuz I was literally screaming, I was so mad lol..

Short resume : Choke, choke, choke, choke again.
I start 3third.
at 1:00, I made a stupid turn. Going to wall, I'm now 9th,  last of the GT1.
I'm going fast, quicly gaining positions, just avoiding a crashing opponent (Ramirez77 at 2:00, gaining 1 position, then on the straight I'm faster and gain one position passing The_Bad_Loser at 2:30.
Going to the hairpin, I overtake MaxX and @pezby. I follow CHill and overtake him at 3:33, cleanly, we have some battle and I begin to distance him at 3:46. I then see a crashed car on my right cloudmcshort, passing by. at 4:45, I pass MCaesar, crashed on the side. I'm now second, with MaxX on my back and trying to catch up on doompenguin. at 13:05, I take the turn too large, and got on the sidewalk, losing time. MaxX passed me, I'm 3 again. I was only a couple of seconds behind cloudmcshort catching up on him. 13:40, I'm going to wide, thanks to the Rocoto that has a very strange way to turn sometimes, allowing doompenguin to pass me. Looking at the times table, I'm 10 secondes ahead of the next racer, so I feel confident I could maybe even catchup to the 3 battling for the pole! From here, I just crashed a lot, letting CHill, MCaesar and The_Bad_Loser the possibility to overtake me. CHill got me during a crash at 31:05. My suspension is broken so I lose grip in each turn with elevation changes, like kerbs. I pit stop at 32:50, losing some time but gaining a car that is actually working. It allows MCaesar to overtake me.
I push him in a turn, because I have more speed, so I wait for him to pass again. The_Bad_Loser has catching us two up, so it's now to the 5th place a 3 way battle. DRAMA INCOMING ! 33:46 MCaesar crashed, hitting me when spinning, then he passes me. I'm upset and honk like a maniac. In the next hairpin, I took the inside, and saw him losing grip. Not sure I'm in fault, and after the gross takeout without waiting me he did, I just go. I don't want to lose more time here. I'm now catching up The_Bad_Loser, keeping him close for 5 minutes, then I crash alone on a static pole, 41:42. Then CRASHING AGAIN 42:00 on a barrier.. MCaesar is able to overtake me at this time. I'm catching up, and this happen, 42:50, he crashes, taking me with him. AGAIN. I'm in front of him, but I lost precious seconds, I'm not in a good shape and crash myself stupidly at 43:33. It's the halfway of the race, im 22 seconds behind the 4th, CHill. I crash again, 46:45, losing 6 more seconds, allowing MCaesar to be only one second behind me. The game to catch The_Bad_Loser continue. At 53:51, I'm faster than him, I hit him in the back, he's going to the pit, and I spin. i didn't make him lose much time, since he didn't crashed here, so I keep continue. I'm 26 secondes behind CHill. 58mn, almost taken out by a crash in front of me. From now until the end of the race, I basically hotlapping to catch up. A few incidents appears. 1:06:20, I'm only 9 seconds behind.
Next drama... 1:13:25, trying to pass my teammates. I crashed in his back because he lost too much speed and didn't move out I was 5 seconds behind, now 7 seconds behind again
1:17:00, solo crash. losing 5 seconds
Lap 30/31, I'm 4,7 seconds behind him. end of lap 30, i'm 1,8 seconds behind.
Last lap. I need to pass him. And I DID at 1:29:32. He pushed me in the back just after because my racing line in very short in this turn, and he's fairplay and let me go ahead. Trying to hard to catch me, he's crashing just behind me at 1:30:15. I'm happy, even relieved, to pass him after the last 30 minutes or so of catching.

I'm guessing I'm one of the luckier guys this race. Only had one small incident with MaxX when he was passing (I was expecting you to pass on the straight not the corner, would have gave you more space if you honked ). Other than that... consistency definitely won me this race. Because damn, Akcros and I had some good battles for a very good chunk of the race. And he definitely had more pace.

I had a mixed experience this race. The first half or so was filled with people knocking me out of the way or sliding into me just enough to cause me to lose traction and lose all of my speed just prior to straights or even throwing lightpoles at me so I could do some stunt flips. It was utterly frustrating losing not only the one position I gained by having a good start off the line, but also another position due to other people's mistakes and extra aggressive overtakes.

The second half of the race, however, was some of the most intense racing I've gotten to participate in. RapTor_X_ and I battled for approximately 10 laps with only our own mistakes causing the other to overtake. We traded positions I think a total of 8 times during those laps, all while trying to avoid the faster cars lapping us (and occasionally slowing us down as they passed, letting the other overtake because of it). At the very end of the race though, RapTor_X_ took the position from me and got a decent lead, so I just fell into trying to get a decent clean lap without messing up or letting others mess me up. I ended up getting caught in the battle for 3rd and 4th in my class as they came around to lap me on the final lap, but I did my best to let them past by going extra wide around the hairpins on the highway.

Overall, I'm not happy with my own performance in this race, but I'm glad I got to take part in the battle for "not last place" at the end of the race, even though I did lose that battle pretty horribly in the end.
