not exactly, more like not amazingly fast cars but modified a lot. such as the coquette, something that can look like a racer but isn't really a full one. That isn't what rice means. RICE - stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement so there you go, something to make it look like a racer but isn't fast. |

It's probably been tagged in that search by somebody who doesn't like the car talking about it. A lot of "HURR MUH MURICAN V8" will call anything imported rice, for example. EDIT: nvm I looked it up. It makes like 800 horse.  The creators called it 'Ricer' as a joke evidently |

But what people interpret it commonly is that the cars are visually modified to have body kits that don't even help in performance. Like vinyls. The Coquette is not rice, you can add body parts but it's not necessarily ugly either. R* made the Coquette slow but it should at least be able to compete with the Banshee, but it doesn't.
If adding a body kit to the Coquette is rice, then all cars in GTA that we mod up visually is also rice as it does not help performance (except spoiler)

Stock engine etc. Bunch of stickers for Performance Enhancing parts, that are not even in the vehicle kind of thing. Chrome Exhaust tips, standard piping and manifold etc.

It's an anti-culture, in retaliation to other strict laws that were put in place at one point. It's pretty interesting actually. |
