GTA Online One Hour Magic Race Concept

so excluding sports a (which isn't even one we're using) are the cars going to be by the slower end of the class, kinda like in the first race, or is it going to range the entire class from slowest to fastest?

So this was a race concept that I had thought of bringing to GTA a long time ago, but didn’t create a thread speaking about what makes it so special.



TO START OFF

This idea was used in Gran Turismo 4 as driving missions, but I wanted to put a twist on, instead of 1 lap, you do an endurance race with the idea.



HOW DOES IT WORK

Well pretty simple, The slowest cars start with a gap to the quicker cars all pre -determined by testing each car on the track of choice, the gap should be retained for approximately 85% of the race duration. Now, for a great idea of the concept, please go search One Lap Magic on YouTube and picture it being an hour.

Example of the race start

GT6 leaves with gap to GT5

GT5 leaves with gap to GT4

GT4 leaves with gap to GT3

GT3 leaves with gap to GT2

GT2 leaves with gap to GT1

GT1 leaves after everyone when time gap is reached.



DETERMINING GAPS:

Well you would need to test every car being used to achieve the best lap time possible with the car, or a option could be to have everyone show their best practice lap, and figure what lap you would like GT1 to overtake GT6 ( for example ) And you could multiply the lap time by number of laps and you'll have how long into the race you will be before they end up with each other.



HOW IT WENT LAST TIME:

Last time we raced with this concept, we used 6 super cars. We used my Nurburgring track ( recreation of R* Verified job ) And these were the gaps set out.

Cars we used, Bullet, Adder, Cheetah, Infernus, Turismo R, Osiris.



0:00 ( Bullet Started the Race )

1:50 ( Adder left the start grid )

2:30 ( Cheetah & Infernus started their race (* had nearly identical lap times )

3:15 ( Tursimo R left grid and begun racing )

3:30 ( Osiris began race, all cars are no longer stationary at start grid )



HOW TEAMS WORK:

Teams are made of 2/3 people driving the same car, all teammates leave at the same time.



POINTS:

Points are made off of overall finishing positions, because drivers in slower vehicles start first, the race is fair for those drivers.
