Here is my point of view. Looking forward to the battle in your video, ovivoJR My stream was having some issues with frame loss. So the video is really bad to watch Didn´t notice it prior to the race elsewise I could have restarted OBS

I never explained what happened last race so: At the last minute I decided to stream. Alt-tabbed out of the game to change the settings in gfe (geforce experience). However gfe decided it needed to update. That left me no time to change the settings so I just started to record. During the race I had completely random over- and understeer and also the acceleration sometimes was just underpowered. Also the fps counter was gone. Halfway through the race I parked my car in the pitlane and after some frustrated textchatting (sorry for that) and forcefully shutting down gfe the issues disappeared. So I think that updating gfe while the game was running made my fps go al over the place and made my car completely unpredictable. Also noting that Shadowplay while on didn't record anything

I had something similar a few days ago. I have no idea what happened exactly but after alt-tabbing back into the game, my Turismo was handling like a dream : even more responsive and agile than it usually is but no oversteer, awesome traction in the corners, braking on a dime. The game was running smooth as butter and never dropped below my 58 FPS limiter, which usually happens when I drive around. Alt-tabbing in and out again didn't solve the issue. I did a few laps on Montréal (it was after the race but I had to find out how fast I was with that "cheat" car, picked a track I knew) and I didn't get a better time than my regular practice laps, but it certainly felt a lot more easier to get around the track (or harder because I was not used to the car being so responsive and hit the apex barriers a few times :p). I'm pretty sure on a longer track with more curbs and more braking the difference would have been more obvious.
Anyway wether it's positive or negative boosts, it's really annoying that we don't have a good insight on what's causing these differences in car handling and performance. I'm wondering if the FPS are actually a symptom and not the cause. For now it's still a valid solution to cap everyone's FPS to 60 as it limits some known effects with curbs and handling but I hope we can dig deeper into these mechanisms and then harness their power to get faster and more intense racing just like we do with offroad wheels. I have to say I also like the idea of removing the FPS limit and allowing everyone to "tune their cars" as I feel it gives another interesting dimension to the game and is also a thing in RL racing. I think it's also a good way to dig deeper : if we allow people to run different settings, people will share their knowledge (or they won't since they get an advantage out of it but nothing can stay secret for too long :p) and eventually we can find out what works best.
This is a bit off-topic and of course I'm not questioning the decisions that were made for this event or other ones. Just stating my opinion about that since Jeffrey raised the issue.

I also think there is more to this than what we know. After rewatching my stream footage from Montreal I noticed that it was stuttering a lot. During the race I had stable fps just in the turns before the pits I had some stuttering in game. While watching the footage I noticed that always when I had a stutter in the stream that happend on the straight I got a random speedboost. You can clearly see that always when this occured I closed on the drivier infront because the car shiftet into a higher gear quicker. In the turns the other way around it cost me time do to not being able to react properly because of the stutters.

Like I said it before, I really enjoyed participating in the last race, it was really fun, so I will gladly join to this again, if someone will be not able to play and now, ovivoJR , sign me up as a reserve driver officially.

What limits the track? The tarmac or the whitle line? I ask this because the right corner befor the jump. am I allowed to "cut" that turn, or at least 1 wheel need to be inside the white lines?
Also, the left turn before the pit entry. I'm not allowed to go wide there either, rigth? (There is a wall to stop you go really wide, but it is still 4 wheels, if you reach the wall)

I'm not fan of that container changement, going wild is gonna be less/no punitive than before D:
The pits are awesome now, good job.

I could put a bush at the containers as well so that slows people down more if they go wide. ovivoJR? And thx for the thing about the pit. I moved the pit once, showed ovivo, he suggested something like this and yea, i made it.

If people hit those containers more than 3 times their suspension will be broken anyway so there is no need for a bush.
